F&F promo

I am seriously looking into buying dvc. I have been reading the messages about the friends & family promo. Does anyone know if that is still on? Any advice on how or possibly when to buy would be appreciated. thx

The F&F promo is over and from what I hear this was the best promo in a while. We bought during this period.

I have followed DVC for a while so I am sure they will come out with something new soon.

I'm so upset.......... I guess in the meantime I will continue to do my research. I live in Massachusetts. To go for an orientation, I'm assuming it would probably be at my own expense. Any info on that would help, too. Thanks.

They can do all the pitch and stuff over the phone. The sales materials are amazing... hardcover book, DVD etc. It is cool to see it in person, but really not THAT big of a deal. Up to you.

Thank you. I will look into those options. I have no idea what the prices are. I've looked at both resales and direct buys from DVC. It's hard to choose. Too many decisions! Thanks again.........

While the promo is supposedly over, they were still handing out flyers advertising the promo today, Feb 06, when I checked in at OKW.

We were at SSR on Friday, the 3rd, picking up the info for a friend, and we were told the F&F had ended two days earlier. We were really bummed too, as our friends are really interested and it was a great deal. Hopefully another good incentive will be coming around soon!

Well, at least there is always resale - I think the big deal about F&F that set it apart from other promotions is that it was about as good a deal as resale without the ROFR roller coaster. But it seems like there are good deals to be had from buying a resale - you can even get SSR if that's what you want! It seems like the online resale buisnesses (such as the sponsor of this board) make it pretty easy, to go that route.

Just another thought, along with "DVC is bound to have more promotions soon."

I called today...and even though I asked directly about the F&F I was told that was over. He did go on to tell me some other inforation though...He thought that Disney would offer another program similar in 6-8 months, "BUT"!!!! $ per point will go up to $101 the end of March! Even with any discounted offer they may have (no promise it will even be) it may not bring it down to the current price per point! I went ahead and had him send me all the info out (FED EX) today...and hopefully by the end of the month I will be a Member!!!!!!
If you are going to look into it you might want to jump on it before the prices go up!
