Eye2Eye WISH shirt proposal

Bill- The shirts at the marathon were really nice. They had the Earful Tower on them and were very colorful. I wish I had a picture! We have a lot of creative people on the WISH team, and I think we could come up with some creative designs for the shirts. We just need someone who will take the lead with eye2eye and work with them in creating a design. I like the RaceReady lime green stuff, but eye2eye will take us to a whole other level.

Bill, I wonder if we can get Kate involved in a design? Julia and Kate's mom was one of the original dis signers and really has the software down!!

I'll PM her a link and see if she has any time!!

The more I think about it, I think I would like a scoop neck shirt - and the picture shows the shirt for women has a curve cut... woman's style... and like I said, dh and others were really impressed with the shirt which is why the thread got started I'm thinking...

Mel has in her thread for the original shirt the original design back...

I do think "crazy" colors is their specialty - design one is weird water spots... and the 3rd one (I think) is too much blue...

but I agree - we need to keep the words on the back the same!! same stand out font and bold..

Thanks for the replies **Heather and Sandy**. How "colorful" do you think the team would want the shirts?

OK--bear in mind I didn't see the shirts at WDW but I have viewed eye2eye's website--I was thinking about the following so this shirt might "match" with the other two WISH team shirts:

**Have two primary colors: a medium lime green and a bright "safety" green.

**Have the bottom of the shirt start with the darker lime and "fade" up to the bright safety at the top with the use of "stars" (in keeping with the WISH logo) or hidden Mickey-type heads (in honor of Disney-- but I am not certain how "Disney"ish people would want the shirt) that overlap and get lighter/brighter as they rise.

**On the chest, "shadowed" in the darker lime green either have a hidden Mickey head (my preference) or the "WISH" logo/name.

**The shirt material design would be the same front and back.

**If permitted, have the same WISH logo, motto, etc. overlayed on front and back as "original" WISH shirts.

This is what I was thinking for a conservative design that would compliment the other WISH shirts. If people want more color(s) or even a large color or photo- type design, please post.

**Sandy** I forgot to add in my above post that any and all, especially those with design or graphics experience, are more than welcome to throw out designs and/or ideas. I do not intend to have any "pride of authorship." I am the type that comes up with ideas in my head and sketches it out on paper (guess I'm old-fashioned), but have no idea as to how to translate it to a computer design or whether it can even be so translated.

As I posted above, my first choice in doing this would be to have a design that at least a number of WISHers would like. We would just be the ones with a little bolder, alternate team jersey.

it was a "wrap around design - it wrapped all the way around the shirt" a "full pattern like the photograph shirt on their website... and they had a bicycling style shirt - which works well for cyclist, and tim says not sure if that works well for runners.. according to dh...

Bill I think that design/color choice you have sounds good! Tim is googling running clubs to see if a picture of the shirt being discussed comes up - of course our website is coming up in the google search!!! I PM'd Kate a link to this discussion - she's been under the weather, but again, you have good ideas...

and just maybe a "bigger, bolder, alternate" might just be my style also!!

Would people be interested in a camo type pattern if we could have them produce it in shades of lime and safety green. We could also inquire about the camo pattern being made up of differing size Mickey heads. (With "Wish" done in the black with white trim as shown in the original proposal). Just another thought.

I've got an original shirt as well that I will probably use if no interest is shown in an alternate eye2eye shirt design. However, even tough the original shirt is wicking, it is warm and, unfortunately, the RaceReady tech shirts are not sized to fit some of us larger WiSHers.

Two things on having any Disney related design in the shirts:
1. Disney doesn't like to share (they have forced Sunny to take stuff off her cafepress website in the past).
2. We took all WDW references out of the shirts in the second design so people could wear the shirts at any race, not just WDW.

Here's eye2eye's latest design proposal. Bill, I forwarded the email to you and let my contact know that he'll be working with you from now on. I like the idea of the design on the sleeve!

Mel-It looks like we're crossing communications. I like the sleeve design as well. I know Disney enforces its property rights, that's why I was thinking "hidden" Mickeys. Maybe I'll check with eye2eye to see if they can add to the runners in the latest design--Mickey ears on a couple of them and maybe one holding a Mickey ice cream bar.

This one is almost doable. Not quite sure about the polka dots though, and if they offered a manly camo pattern I may interested in that too.

Mel I really like the new proposal but I still like the race ready stuff too. So if we go forward with them count me in. I have to have vintage WISH and the new hotness.
Erin

I like the new proposal. The slanted lettering on the back reminds me of text scrolling on a movie screen, and I like the runners on the front. Still, I'm not crazy about the fabric. I've never been a splotchy kind of girl. I like the idea of a darker lime at the bottom and fading to a lighter green at top.

I would also love to see a WISH shirt in a white or pink. I know.... blasphemy. However, I never wear my lime green shirt except to Disney races. I'd love to have a shirt to workout in and wear locally that actually kind of matches my other clothes.

I'm a bright rainbow tie dye kinda girl so I like some of the wilder designs, but recognize that's not for everyone. I think some of the points folks made about the design taking away from the message are very important! The back of the shirt is really what the WISH team is all about and what we get the most comments on during any race.

I like Bill's "Fade to Lime" proposal. Hope eye2eye can work up something like that.
I also like the idea of the Mickey ears on some of the runners...kinda reminds me of the Viking wearing Mickey ears on the Maelstrom in Norway. I think anything remotely Disney related could raise Disney's ire, so we have to be really careful. Bill's probably in the best position to figure that stuff out.

The nice thing about eye2eye is we can order individually, though I think we get a break if we place a group order. Bad thing is shipping costs...they're in Canada, which is cool for Leanna :)

a little birdie - okay it was Sandy - whispered in my ear asking for help -since she is the only reason I did not spend the last hour before the half puking my guts out (she kept me distracted from the task at hand that was greatly upsetting my stomach) i will do just about anything for her!!

I read what you guys have posted and tried to come up with some ideas...
I had to take the clipart in the post and put it in the shirts - so they might not be great quality - with the original artwork it would look better...

this first one is their design but I added Hidden mickey's in it...
mickeys.jpg

I can put them on the runners like you want - but they were hard to see on the small size the design would show up - so here they are seperate

runners.jpg

this next design puts disney in the shirt - I THINK that you can use pictures you took in stuff so they would be okay with this...

what I really would want is for the design to wrap all the way around and have the castle on the front - spaceship earth on the back with the tree of life and hat on the sides...but I need to see their template to see if that would be feasible...

green.jpg

here it is without the sides for tree of life and the hat...

green2.jpg

Bill -if you get me their template and requirements...I would be happy to work with you to get a design - it might be easier to work with me over them since you can all have me move something 2 inches and I can do it rather quickly - while each change with them would be a 24 hour turn around....

Oh wow!!!! I love the castle!!!! Not crazy about SE, but totally understand why it is there since it represents the finish line.

Very nice

Oh, I totally dig this!!!! I like the hidden mickey's, but the castle is awesome!!!!!!

I like the castle. :thumbsup2
I agree about SE, it is kinda hard to tell what it is.
Love the mouse ears on the runners. Maybe have that with the castle?

So is this safe as far as Disney law is concerned? :confused3

Oh, went to their website. I didn't see a running clothes category. Which styles were we looking at?

WOW THOSE ARE KEWL!!!!!

Mel I am a tie dye kinda person also :hippie: so you are not alone.
