An organization I belong to (of bird trainers) is having our annual conference next year in Amsterdam. Still trying to find out how I can afford that one!

Thank you wenches for the kind words of support, the rum, and the Captain. I feel much better this morning. I guess it's a good thing I took out some extra $$ on the student loan this term, funny how things work like that! I have lotsa homework to catch up on and class all morning tomorrow, but when I get a chance I will look through my photos from August's trip...I think I have Capt. #3 in there.

As for the real thing, I left him well rested

and he's all ready for the next wench

Yes, but many folks must have sub(substitute) capt pics and haven't posted there, so maybe they will post on yours, so we can see them all. I had hoped people would have left times/days they saw their sub capt and the pic of him and then that way we may be able to get an idea of work schedules..might help pin down the elusive one

Hey Madd,
You have pics on your other thread! And i think that its yet ANOTHER Capt.
To reiterate. i saw the one i posted above on a Friday,. I originally said around 11, but now i am not so sure.I asked DH and he says it must be later than that, because we went on POTC ride after the tutorial and were all hungry because we had skipped lunch earlier, so we left around 5. That puts it more in the late afternoon, maybe 2 or 3??

ETA: After looking over all our vacation pics, there is only 1 shot of all where my DD2 is actually looking at the camera.

Are you going to follow the Captain around like I read they do at DL?? That would be fun if he is one that looks close in appearance to our Captain...

Yes, the poor Captain does get chased around DL sometimes. I'll be around him a lot, but won't stalk him or anything. Now if JD showed up, that would clearly be a different story!!!!

They don't do the tutorial. We have a stage set up and a group of 4 or 5 pirates come out and sing about their discoveries in the "Land of Disney". Little people nailed to the floor (Small World). Big monkeys that turned over a car (Jungle Cruise). Stuff like that. They also give a story of the curse they have. They burned down some town and the only thing left is a bell. Every time the bell is rung, they have to sing the Pirate's Life For Me song. There's no guest interaction and no Captain. He just comes out sometimes and plants himself somewhere for everyone to queue up and take pics with him.

OH NO- I dont think he looks like our Capt either! I am just partial the "the real thing" I guess! I accept no substitiutes.......

I think the reason that people enjoy Jack #2 so much is because he is the best at playing the Captain. When you see him, you really feel like you are watching Captain Jack. At least my friends and I did. He's pretty good at what he does and is actually the best of all the Jacks I've seen thus far. There are one or two that kinda have a better look, but they don't match this guy's ability to play the character. His mannerisms are excellent.
