OK- wenches for your "disgusting" viewing pleasure (is that an oxymoron??--I KNOW the word disgusting has NEVER been used on this board) I have captured a few pics of the Kraken- funny thing is I couldnt get a close up of it until I used the "portrait" setting on my camera! ironic....isnt it....

They are not that great and you will notice the Kraken is missing a hind leg-- DH place a rubbermaid container on him unknowingly- guys can be so oblivious! he knew I was saving the Kraken for proof of its existance and he almost destroyed it!

Remember this is not an ordinary cricket NOR is it a grasshopper......

and I dont have an OT pic of the boys-- I will get that to you all later! This is an emergency!

So has anyone seen the Johnny Cash video yet? It's supposed to be available on CMT.com, but I can't get any videos to play. I think its the firewall at work.

And....I ventured over to youtube to see if anything was there....got a nasty 'This website is blocked' message....Guess too many people at work were playing on youtube all day. We've already been blocked from all gaming and shopping websites, no ebay during the day for me.


I just hope the don't take my DIS. I think I'd have to stage a mutiny!

I'm gonna go see if I can see it.

It won't play for me either. I have cable, but it's IE that's giving me trouble. Everytime I try to click on the video, IE refuses it. I normally use Firefox, but the site won't work with Firefox - so it says. Looks like it won't work with IE either.

I looked through YouTube and I can't find anything yet.

That is strange b/c I have a had few of these weird looking things that look like a cross between crickets and grasshoppers- maybe your daughter is on to something- the technical term for them just MAY BE Krakens!!!

I have never seen them before and want to call an exterminator but I dont know what to call the creatures or how to describe them-- I will call the exterminator and tell them I think they may be Krakens!!!!

I think those are called camel crickets. However, when we first moved into our house in NC a lifetime ago, those things were everywhere. We had never seen anything like them before. So, we called them cherynobel crickets(you know nuclear misfits)

Go to cmt.com and instead of clicking the link on the front page go to "Loaded Video" in the left hand, top corner of the page. Once there, click on the "Music" tab over to the right top. Click on Johnny Cash (he should be at the top under Music) and it should be the first one listed.

He's just beautiful! He's lip syncing. Very short, but very gorgeous. And there is eyeliner. Don't say I didn't warn you.

I think that is a cave (or camel) cricket. They were in my basement growing up! Creepy! Here is a pic I found of them...
