Does anybody else watch this? I have been absolutley hooked lately! I really cannot believe just how extreme they go...and in 7 days too...wow! There are some super personalities in the "design team" - they really make the show.....and I have to admit to shedding a tear or two on a couple of episodes when watching those application videos

I've watched a few of these - makes our Changing Rooms look a bit sad!

I can't believe they can do all that in just 7 days! They practically rebuilt whole houses!

Ive been watching this loads lately as well, I have to admit tho that I cant stand Ty, I think he is the cheesiest man in the world! Its incredible how they do these houses so quick, they obviously dont have such strict planning permission as the UK!!

Yes, I was thinking the same thing. They are able to just smash a house down and slap up a 3 storey mansion in its place in 7 days - no planning permission questions asked! Incredible! Oh, I don't know about Ty though, I think he is a cutie!

Only a tear or two!! I sob my way through the whole thing!!
I forced DH to watch it last week and he was amazed. How big must their budget be!?!?

And when Ty walks around with his megaphone it makes me laugh so much!!

Loads of the stuff is donated by the programmes sponsors so the company doesnt actually pay for it all, plus its owned by Disney and they have got tons of money to spend!! I wish they would come and do my house!

Yes, I noticed that they involve Disney in virtually every episode! Most of the families are shipped off the WDW whilst the renovation is taking place....it is great to see a bit of the world whilst watching the show. They gave a luxury suite on the DCL to one family!

Also, I remember an episode where they sent in hundreds of Disney "volunt-ears" to decorate a hospital which was this little girls dream , it was beautiful - they had a Nemo room, Toy Story room -- it was great.

It's great isn't it! Dh and I are totally addicted, and were stunned to find our friends watched it too...
LOL can you imagine doing it here! Ty taking on the local council and the neighbours about the "new extension". He wouldn't even be able to park the bus in our road

Totally hilarious. And I do cry but sometimes you have to laugh, like when the builder breaks down in tears at the sheer enormity of his task.....

What always makes me laugh is when they talk about how small the previous rooms were and they dont understand how anyone could live in such conditions....and the room is usually bigger than my whole downstairs!!

Also at the start when Ty uses the megaphone early in the morning I can always imagine it in this country and the neighbours leaning out the window and telling him to keep the b***dy noise down!!

They won't even get the bus onto our road! it wouldn't be able to turn the corner and if it did they would never get it out again!

I must admit I'm addicted to this show too! They could come and do my house any day. My DH says they must have those plans drawn up beforehand so that the wall panels etc can be made up (my Dh is a joiner btw).

Did you see the one where they had to take an extra day because they weren't ready? I can't remember the family's name but one of the sons had been shot and was in a wheelchair - they built 2 houses and paid for a wedding too! I had tears rolling down my face but one of my favourites must be when they built the two houses (duplex) for that homeless charity.
