Has anyone seen this - sometimes it's so emotional I sit with tears streaming down my face. It's on UK Style most nights I think. It makes you realise there's people far worse off than yourself but it's lovely to see their faces at the end - especially the kids.

I've seen it advertised ~ Never actually watched a programme.

The clips I've seen ~ The people are very excited at the end of it.

I've seen a few episodes. It certainly makes you appreciate our NHS after watching. What gets me is that none of the families featured ever seemed to complain, they just got on with what life had thrown them so it's so nice to see their lives made easier. A real "feelgood" programme. :goodvibes

Its a wonderful show but gobsmacking when these families have to watch their own home being torn down to shreds! I tear up every time because these families have been through so much and they really deserve these wonderful new houses, think the main team leader is very cute too

Sarah loves this,

Have to say i would choose these lot to sort my home over the cowboys who patch over stuff on our tv makeovers.

I am Hooked, and sit down with a big box of tissues, a even bigger bar of chocolate, and an even bigger glass of wine.
It is amazing how they actually build a house in a week, were not talking about a 3 bed semi either, The Families are amazing one of the programmes I saw had a lady who had adopted I think it was 6 children.
One of them had been badly burned as a baby, one of them had Infantal alcohol syndrome, 2 of the girls had no legs, get the picture.
Well you should have seen the house.Wow move that bus !!!!!
Anyway would definately reccomend it there is always a story behind every makeover and they generally send the families on holiday to ..... Good Old Disney World.
The only thing I always wonder is how many people want to slap TY for using that megaphone :p !!
Try it but dont forget the hankies, it will really make you all warm and bubbly inside, and realise there are lots of very good people out there

I absolutely love it :goodvibes . It's a great programme with some great designers and really deserving families.

Have you seen the Extreme Makeover Home Edition "How did they do that?" show? It's a really great inside-look at the making of it.

:wizard:

dds and I loe this show. I think TY and crew ae great - full of energy and the makeovers are out of this world and the families really deserve it. I watched one yesterday and they put fibre optics in the nursey celing so that it looked like twinkling stars and shooting stars. :goodvibes :wizard:

Oh I love this :sunny: Always gets me teary though. It does put our home make over shows to shame. The design team get so emotionally involved too - its just a matter of who cries first.

As it's good the recipients are so deserving and so thrilled.

Give it a go!

I love this as well
Its about the only prommagamme I watch on Sky

I love this programme, very rarely make it from beginning to end without any tears. The families are always so deserving. It puts Changing Rooms to shame.

Have to add that Ty is gorgeous. :)

They showed an episode this week called 'Ty's Best Bits' - it was even worse than normal because it had lots of different emotional bits in it.

The episode that has really got to me recently was the first one of the new series about a little girl called Morgan Nicks who was abducted 10 years ago. I cried from start to finish - any one with children would have been very affected by this show. They let off over 1000 purple balloons for her and it was so sad.

Love it!!! It literally reduces me to a sobbing wreck sometimes!

I enjoy watching Paul and Preston as they are so good together. On one occasion they were described as 'like an old married couple' by the English joiner/carpenter chap. They are a hoot.

Best line ever was from the episode mentioned earlier ( the lady who adopted several children with varying disabilities). Ty presented the oldest (and non disabled) girl, who I think was the woman's natural child (?), with a car. She got in and invited one of her sisters ,who had no legs, to get in too. The girl scooted into the car and then yelled 'WHOAAA . Look at the legroom!!!!'
It was a cracker and everyone fell about....although I think Ty was a bit stunned at first.
