Hi all.

I've been to WDW a lot, but this summer we are taking my parents and grandmother with us. They haven't been to Disney since the 80's.

We're staying at BCV, and I've got some wonderful ADR's, but I was looking for maybe extra touches to make this trip even more special for them. I was reading about the personalized menus, and thought that could be something nice. What else? If you have any ideas or tips of little things that can make the trip even more memorable, I'd really appreciate it! Thanks! :wizard:

Hmmm....maybe splurge on a Wishes or Illuminations cruise? Those are always popular. Will they be celebrating birthdays or anniversarys? If so, you can get them a birthday or anniversary pin at Guest Relations.

Enjoy your vacation!!

I would also splurge on an Illuminations cruise, I think that would be something none of them would soon forget!!

What about a horse drawn carriage ride? That would be special, but I would be careful about the time of day.....in the summer it can be so hot and humid, those are miserable if you're in sweltering heat.

I would like to agree about a Wishes or Illuminations cruise. Last summer I attended a conference at the Gaylord Palms with a group of friends/staff peers. The night before we had to leave back home, I made a reservation for a Wishes cruise. Everyone I work with knows how crazy about WDW I am, so I decided to give them a gift of Disney Magic. I couldn't bring everyone, so I chose which friends could go. I developed really nice invitations, and passed them out. We ate dinner at the Wilderness Lodge, then took the cruise. The ponteen boat driver gave us a tour around the lake, she gave us a bunch of information about building the lake, the old River County Island and ect. We watched the Electric Water Parade (included patriotic selections) then over to Wishes.
At the end of Wishes, our group was so moved, emotion was so thick, no one could say anything at first. We hugged and cried with joy. I have to say that it was a gift I shared with my friends, I can't wait to do this for my mother and my daughters this September. It was an experiance that I will never forget. I can get all teary eyed when I think about that, or when I hear Wishes. Absolutely Magical!!!
I believe it cost me around $250 for 10 people. Well worth it!!!
