Resort Thread Disney's Club Level (CL) Thread

We're back our trip at CR! I miss it already lol. Our room was 4845 TPV. Last year and the year before we had 4846. Basically, everything stayed the same as the last 3 years that we've been going. The food is very good, especially the breakfast where we ate every morning .Loaded potatoes and Hash browns are so good! Rotation of food is every 3 days. We only did one lunch which is veggies, cheeses, crackers. hummus and snacks. We only did one dinner appy's(5-7) because we had dinner restaurants at all the parks. Nightime desserts were simliar as the years before. I only ate one night because the sugar keeps me awake. But, my DS,DIL and GD took full advantage of it every night. We had a tough time on Saturday morning finding a seat because it was packed. But, CR has added more seating outside of the lounge, plus another coffee station by the concierge desk.

Once again Courtney, Lou Ann and Troy were excellent! We had to change a dinner reservation that we couldn't do and Troy worked his magic.

CR surprised us with a beautiful plate of chocolates and a plate drizzled in chocolate, wishing us a Happy 54th Anniversary. They also added a colorful 5X7 picture of Mickey & Minnie with Happy Anniversary written on it.

No more peanut M&M's, now it's Snickers and Starburst. I did miss the M&M's 🙁

Also, I brought 25 ponchos and we never used one!!! No afternoon showers for us, it was unbelievable!!! We left them in the room from our housekeeper, Julianna (who is the BEST) We had her everyday except for her day off. We love her!! We did have one problem the day Julianna was off. The other housekeeper took off the sheets on the sofa bed and never made a new bed, just folded it up and added some of my GD stuffed toys. We had to call housekeeping at 8PM, they came up fast and even brought up more coffee for us.

Unfortunately, DH and I have had it with Disney in the summer. Just too hot for us now and I come prepared with a UV umbrella and my new turbo fan, plus a hat. We have done summers because DS and DIL are teachers. And, first time ever DH had to rent a scooter everyday. He has back issues that started on our second day at HS.
We do want to take our GS who just turned 2, but we will wait until he is 4 or 5..... but we will be able to go in cool weather.:yay:

We had a wonderful trip and I guess we won't be back for a while. My DS, DIL & GD are planning a Universal trip next summer.

Finishing up our stay at a 1 bedroom suite in the main building at GF. I feel like they are going to have to drag us out of here. We love it so much! The CMs, food, and beautiful room have been worth every penny. Tomorrow we move to YC WV CL and have a cabana for the day. I think GF will be hard to top! Coming back in November but due to $$$ booked a deluxe WL CL room vs a suite at the GF. Will be here just after thanksgiving. For those who have done the holidays which do you prefer WL or GF? Also I know not on the same floor as the lounge but any advice on the best deluxe CL room to request at WL? Thanks!!!

What floor is the 1 Bedroom suite ON? Do you have go to the lobby to get to the lounge?

There are (10) Deluxe rooms at the WL, 2 per floor on floor 1-5. I would suggest you request a 3rd or 4th floor Deluxe room. These 4 rooms have a normal railing on the balcony which makes viewing easy to enjoy.

Both are wonderful but this year, definitely WL. I do not believe the GF lobby renovations be done by Christmas. So no giant tree or gingerbread house. Someone please correct me if I am wrong.

Disney has said no Gingerbread House this year, but to my knowledge has not said anything specifically about the tree or holiday decorations - attached screen shot is from the GF website.

Not sure if there's a newer version but also below is the e-mail they were sending around in April to guests with future reservations.

I think we (the general we) have been assuming there will be some sort of tree/lobby decorations, but TBD I guess. From outside appearances they don't seem to be moving all that fast on the lobby project, but looks can be deceiving and things can accelerate and it’s only August.

It would be a shame to not be able to toast the holiday season with a gingerbread martini by the tree!

I keep kicking myself for letting GF Deluxe King Room CL go. So I've called a few times & nothing is available other than BWI Garden Cottage CL, which is what we have now. I just called & CR Resort View Atrium has opened up. We're torn so I ran to ya'll.

MK & HS are our favorite parks. We are early 50's just DH & I. We've stayed at BWI but not cl. We haven't stayed at CR yet but have CR Tower cl booked next year.

When is your trip? I haven’t been following:).

DSis were talking about the Atlantic waking up and potential for more than just brief afternoon tstorms for our trip in 11/2 weeks, and yadda yadda, I changed us from the GF outer building 1 br tpv suite to Cr 1 br tpv suite. A little more but worth it to be next to the lounge if the weather is terrible. And almost every suite was open so seems like it will be uncrowded in the lounge - it can be tough in there when occupancy up there is high. Making it even better, I was able to move my initial 2 nights at GF RPC resort view to the CR resort view- king - CL, so that’ll be awesome. Also, my flight is at 6 pm on Sunday, and it’s so easy to pop down to the CR gym to shower that it makes it much more logical. I miss GF, but looks like I won’t be back until 2026 unless they release some rooms at decent rates for this Nov (unlikely). I dislike the elevator situation at CR, but I dislike GF rack rates more!!

We changed over to CR Atrium! I didn’t think the location of the garden rooms to the Innkeeper’s lounge would bother me but it does seem inconvenient.

We have a bounce back. We'll be there 9/1-9/6

I have a few BBs, one later in the year I use right now to check other dates & resorts. I’m seeing a Deluxe King @ GF for your dates right now. Have you been able to look yourself? I know you might not be able to finalize, but you can see what’s available.

So, that's not as different as the situation I was discussing with my sister this morning when we decided to move from an outer building suite at GF to a TPV suite at CR - we both LOVE GF, and if it were another time of year, the walk outside would be nbd. But in August-Sept, there is a high potential for torrential rain that lasts longer than the standard afternoon thundershower. It doesn't bother me for parks or anything like that, I will poncho/flip flop up and go, but I worried that if it was terrible outside, we would not use the lounge as much. If you can't get your original GF room back, I think CR Atrium was a solid choice. That said, every room I was hoping for that was not originally available has popped up as a BB for our trip over the last 2 weeks, so my guess is your GF or something else at GF that appeals will pop up before your visit. Fingers crossed for you!

ETA - from the above - maybe it's available now? Hoping so!
