Extra package tickets and MDE

We purchased 5 day tickets from UT just prior to the price increase, and just called today to book rooms for our Thanksgiving week trip. Turns out we had a free dining pin (we somehow missed!) and were able to get free dining for our five day stay by purchasing 2 day tickets for our party.

So here's the question - is there a way to use my 5 day tickets and save the 2 day tickets linked in the package, and still be able to book FP+ at 60-days out? I understand I could have the UT tickets in a separate MDE account, but that won't have the resort res, so FP+ window will start at 30 days right? I realize 30 days is good for almost everything, but it is Thanksgiving week and I'm hoping to snag A+E for my little princess.

Link your 5-day tickets to your MDE account. Book FP+ at 60 days out. Once you arrive head to guest services and have them prioritize your tickets (5-day tickets to be used prior to 2-day tickets). No ticket is activated until you use it for the first time and Disney doesn't recognize package tickets vs. non-package tickets.

Thanks - that sounds fairly easy.

So as long as we prioritize the 5 day over the 2 prior to entering a park, the 2 day tickets will just sit in our MDE accounts until we get back to Florida - perhaps a year or so from now - correct?

The expiration clock will not start running on the 2 day tickets until they have been used for the first time, so they should be able to sit forever if you don't use them.
