We'll be in WDW from June 27-July 4th for a dance trip. Originally we had talked about flying in on Monday the 27th. Due to a few financial issues that have come up we dont have the funds to fly so we'll be driving. Because we want the girls to be well rested we're planning on driving in on Sunday and getting there around 8 pm- ish. We'd like to stay on site and after looking into it CBR is the cheapest option for our family size (5). This is also the resort that we're staying at for our dance trip. My parents will also be meeting us there on monday, they're on my reservation. The last time we went with a group like this (6 years ago) they put us all in the same general area.

Now my questions: How would this work if we were to stay the extra night? Would we keep the same room? Woulid I have to check in twice? We'd like to go to MK for a few hours Monday morning but would lose a lot of time in the moving process I'd think?

If you add a night to your reservation then no. If you make a separate 1 night reservation then they could move you. You can ask, but there are no guarantees. You can find out when you check in if you are staying in the same room or not so you shouldn't loose too much time packing. Just have the bell staff move your belongings and yes you will have to check in twice if you don't do it online. Make sure T ask your reservations are linked when you make the extra night reservation.

We are in the same boat but are staying the 26th to the 1st. We are driving from outside of Philly. What we are planning is leaving late Friday night and just stopping at cheaper hotel/hotels along the way. Then when we check out on the 1st we are probably going to stay somewhere cheap and local and do other Orlando stuff on Sat and then take our time driving back since my husband has off on the 4th for the holiday.

*off topic* If you haven't already, call up Disney and link your reservation to the My Disney Experience so you can make your ADR's. Also, keep on Dance the World about getting park tickets to you in time for FP, They told me (Guest Services) that last year they didn't give the tickets till check in so no one could make advanced FP reservations and they got a lot of complaints.
