I first set my parks on the morning of extra magic hours(1 hour before park opens) but when i went to deb's site and read that extra evening magic hours are about 3 hours after park closes, should i take advantage of the night hours for which park i go to that day. Any advice is great this is our first trip and i am not sure what to do??? :confused3

EMH at night are very good. August of 05 we were at EPCOT and it was open until 12. We went on Soarin' twice in a row at 11:55. The lines are usually not that long especailly if the park is open late.

Honestly, I prefer the extra magic hours in the evenings. The first reason is because you only get one hour in the morning, as opposed to three evening hours. The second reason is because people begin to leave the parks in the evenings...making it less crowded for the resort guests. When my family was there over the Winter holidays...they required all resort guests to get wristbands in the evening which would distinguish resort and nonresort guests. :wizard: If you have any other questions...just PM me!

I went with my 9 dd last june for the extra magic hours in magic kingdom for one night. We absolutley loved it. We enjoyed our hotel and pool during the morning and went to the park around 5 pm. We went on a bunch of rides and the nighttime foreworks. After the park closed at 11 pm, it was extra magic hours for us!! We went on all the rides and several repeat rides of thunder mountain and space mountain. The only line we encountered was for peter pan and that was about 20 minutes. Everything else had lines of 3-5 minutes if any at all. I highly recommend extra magic hours in the evening, at least once and sleep in the next morning. I saw families with little children, and the little ones didn't seem to enjoy it as much because of the late hours, they all seemed really sleepy and somewhat cranky. But as for my 9 dd and I, we loved it and really loved being the last ones on space mountain and closing the park at 2 am!!! I don't know that we would do it every night of our trip, but it you are there for enough days, it is a real treat. We actually did it on our last night in wdw and it made the finale of our trip really special. I hope to do that again on our next trip if we can. Most important though, go and have fun.

This reply is correct for Epcot, AK, and MGM.

It is NOT ALWAYS correct for MK.

The evening EMH's at MK can be PACKED (or NOT).
It all depends on the time of year (and how LATE MK is open.)
Some WDW guests say there are MORE folks during EMH than during "regular" hours that same day (folks come back from resorts or other parks for MK EMH).

That said, it all DEPENDS on what you want to do and are willing to "chance".

If all in your party are staying at a WDW resort,
bring EVERY ROOM KEY so each person can get a wrist-band.

Hey, its FREE!
So you can TRY it:
If its a low crowd night... COOL!
If you find its "too full"... depart.
Remember, you can come and go at any time BEFORE or DURING EMH hours (and still get your wrist-band).
