extra hours at parks questions

We are staying at a Deluxe resort and plan to attend extra hours on the selected nights they are happening.
What do we need to stay at park ? Do they issue those paper arm bands that we get from a designated place (resort or Guest relations) before the late night or do we use our phone, ticket card or arm band to get on rides? Can a ride still have guest in the ride lines from prior to closing (could rides still have long waits from non-resort guest)?

No armbands for deluxe extra hours. You just need your MB, phone or room key.

Day guests who got into the line prior to official close do get to remain in line and ride, so yes, some lines for deluxe extra hours have been reported to be longer at the beginning, some stay long throughout.

When you enter each ride, they will scan your Magic Band, hotel key or phone with hotel information. People in front of us were turned away because they weren't staying at a Deluxe resort.

If magic hours start at 10 can you enter the park after 10?

Not sure if you can enter after 10 but you would need a hopper pass or reservation for that park on that day.

Yea we have hoppers. I just read somewhere that you have to be in the park before it "closes" or your not let in. Just wanted confirmation.

That is good to know. I was also considering staying at another park until closing then hopping. Sounds like that might not work.

Can anyone confirm that you can't hop in after closing if you have hoppers and are a deluxe guest? We were planning on closing down Studios the Monday we are there and then hopping to Epcot for the deluxe hours if we weren't too tired.

Our room at Beach Club was not ready until after 830 pm . Daughter and I did make a dash to Epcot, arriving just minutes after
closing (9 pm).

We got into Epcot even though it was closed to most guest. Negative part is that we had not eaten dinner yet as we were told at 430 our room was being cleaned, then engineering problem, had to find us different room had to make room keys for new room, etc...

Only new of 2 places open for food, fish stand in England and Mexican quick service. That took the first extra hour of the night. We were able to do one ride, Frozen then walked to Rat ride but it was closed due to problems. Other family members were at park instead of waiting on room and did get on more rides.

Thing happen, just glad we still got into extra hours.

Oh man I would be asking for some kinda refund on that days rate. Even if it's some points back or a giftcard if your points would expire.
