Do I understand this correctly? My husband and I will be staying on site with our 18 and 19 year old boys. I will be charged an extra $30 a night for my kids since they are considered adults.

Is there anyway around this and not cheat the system?

Thanks

i would rent a very large home with a pool so you can spread out and now fill disney's pockets. you will get your large home for the same price as a cheap disney room.

I never heard of this before! Which resort?

No, there is no way around this, and yes, I believe this is crap. You are already paying 300 plus for a room, then you are charged extra if there are more than 2 adults, why? Last time my mom went with our family, we just didn't say she was with us and we didn't get charged. But now with the new tickets we had no choice.

At Pop it's $10 per adult over two. I got socked with the charge too. I really don't know why. Maybe it's because they had two childless couples share a room too much. I don't think an adult would use an extra $10 worth of linens and soap over a child. But there was no surcharge for the extra adult on the free meal plan, which I figure would eat a ton over the standard 2+2 family. Hmmm.

well that just stinks! :sad2:

That rule is ridiculous. I can see them not wanting two couples sharing a room, but these are your CHILDREN. Do what you want- I won't tell. It's non of my business.

If you want to take part in the extra hours at the parks you will need to pay for them. You need to show your resort ID. Everyone has their name on the ID so if you don't pay for them they wouldn't be able to take part in the extra hours.

The charges are different for each resort catagory. $10 for value per night, $15 for moderate, and $25.00 for deluxe. Its a pretty customary charge at most hotel chains I stay at. Two adults per room, with an additional person charge if there is another adult in the room. I think its kind of the opposite of "kids stay free". The room rates are based on double occupancy, so additional people get charged more, except kids stay free.
