I've read about people buying a double cheese burger meal and an extra bun so they could make two burgers. Is this done very often and how much does Disney charge for the extra bun?

It's done enough that the CMs don't bat an eye - my feeling is that they probably hear MUCH odder requests all day long. The last time I saw this thread, people reported being charged anywhere from 25 cents to a dollar for the extra bun - it probably matters where you're asking....... :wizard:

We have done it. I have a 5 yr old and a 3 yr old who wont eat a whole burger. We get a double and an extra bun--I want to say I was charged .79 for the extra bun. I eat a burger and split theirs in half. Or if its for 2 bigger small kids, lol, you could give each one one of them.

:dancer: My kids split a double cheeseburger at MK. We asked for an extra bun and were charged just .25 cents. This is a great way to save a little bit of money! Bon Appetite! :mickeybar

We were charged 79 cents over spring break. It's so common that the register even has a special key for it and it prints out on your receipt. That tells you how often it's done!
