Extended Stay Campgrounds near Disney

Anyone know where we can stay near Disney for the entire winter in our Motor Coach. So far, the few places we checked into are charging daily rates, which come to $800-$1000 per month. I can't see paying that for a slab of cement. It would be different if we were getting a cabin or apartment...but we'll be using our RV, and just want a place to park it with the electric, sewer and water hookup. We'd like to just leave it there year round if the price is fair. We qualify for 55+ communities too. What is the current going rate? Maybe I'm out of the loop on this.

Anyone know of such a set up? Have a recommendation of a place. Please let us know. We would like to be within an hour or so of WDW, but can be flexible on that. Thanks.

Don't know of any, but I would not park mine in Central Florida for a year. They occasionally have hurricanes there. Sometimes several in a row. I would want to be close enough to drive it out of harm's way if need be.

Oh, and your insurance could be a problem for just the reason stated above.

Don't know of any, but I would not park mine in Central Florida for a year. They occasionally have hurricanes there. Sometimes several in a row. I would want to be close enough to drive it out of harm's way if need be.

We already checked into all the insurance stuff. Turns out it costs 1/2 as much to insure the RV in Florida than what we pay now. Go figure.

Thanks for the response. Checked this one out and it costs...wait for it...$1,459.10 per month. That's more like a mortgage payment...and for a cement slab...just criminal.
