Extended Evening Hours

I'm looking at the WDW calendar on the WDW site for next week and it's showing a link for Extended Evening Hours for every park every day. The links don't work, btw.

The calendar is showing actual times for EEH for only MK on Wednesdays and EP on Mondays.

Are they contemplating having EEH for every park? Or is this just a mistake on the calendar?

If anyone has a clue, let us know! Thank you!

My guess is mistake. While they should have Deluxe Hours at every park, I don't see them adding it during this time of year when they don't have to do anything to attract crowds / entice Deluxe stays.

Hi , sorry.. but it has been awhile since I have been on boards......what are deluxe hours? I assume extra hours for those staying at a Deluxe Resort?

Yes. Extended Evening Hours are only for guests staying at Deluxe resorts.

That’s a good spot. I’m reading it to be that they’ll get one night’s entry (it says “at a select”) and I think it’s why one of the Magic Kingdom EEHs in February is on a Friday (11th) instead of a Wednesday (9th). It looks from the links like they may well do the same again in March - so move MK EEH from Wednesday 9th to Friday 11th.

Just ran across something VERY interesting.

Some of the 2022 Cheer Events are being shown to include Extended Evening Hours even though they are not being Hosted by Deluxe Resorts AND "appear" to be showing the EEH will be EVERY night.

I can't access the link but usually there is an after hours event for that group/family/friends during those competitions. It usually happens in MK on the last night of the comp.

Yes,the Celebration Party is also listed, but the EEH is listed separately.

Did anyone else notice that they didn’t extend the schedule for the next week (February 21st and 23rd) yesterday like they have been doing on Fridays?

Where do you see March extended hours? I was only able to see through February.

Sorry, I wasn’t clear - I meant the links to the cheer events. I wondered whether, seeing as there is a week in February with MK on a different day from normal that coincides with the NHSCC, the extended hours at MK might also be on a different day in the week of the IASC (in March) too.

Did anyone notice that extended hours are flipped for the last week listed? MK on Monday and Epcot on Wednesday. I wonder if this will be the new normal?

Oh man that would be great if it was flipped, we are doing MK on our march trip Monday and Tuesday, was bummed that we wouldn't get to take advantage of EEH. Here's hoping when the dates in march go up that its Monday at MK!

Miffy,

What I see is that they are basically using a template. If by chance that day and park has EEH, then they are populating it with the hours. Even though the list of days can be found on the page, it doesn't look like they enter them into the system very far in advance. I was looking into my own future trips for Jan-March and seems like the EEH were added to this page only about the same time as the parade activity or later. The link worked for me, but only the header there is a link, not the text below it.

Now, I will admit that looking at a 5-day window that had zero times listed threw me off at first. I had to go back to looking at the current week and next week to figure out how it worked. I think this also throws other people off, because my sister in law was excited and thought every park, every day had EEH. So where as you and I immediately figured something was up, she went a different route. I think if they removed the '-' and instead added 'TBD' people would clearly understand it.

I'm glad you brought you this up, because now i don't feel like the only person staring at the screen going "what???"

Interestingly UCA College Nationals is having "Extended Park Hours" Friday night at HOLLYWOOD STUDIOS.

They are not calling it "Extended Evening Hours" like some other Cheer Events.

Is there a Celebration Party or Extended Hours this season? Yes! We are excited to bring back the Extended Park Hours on Friday night as well as the Celebration Party on Sunday night! These are included for those on the Hotel Travel Package. For the Extended Park Hours, teams will need to either make a reservation for Hollywood Studios for that day, or have another park reservation for that day and hop to Hollywood Studios that evening. Entering Hollywood Studios for extended park hours will use one day on your Park Pass. Those attending the Celebration Party, do not need a Theme Park reservation Magic Kingdom on their ticket for that event. For commuters, you can purchase tickets for the Celebration party.

So glad they changed this from MK originally on Friday night. I was not thrilled that they were going to be there!

I am trying to make plans for April, and of course, those EEH have not been released. Do we have any indicators that they will continue into April?
