Extended Evening Hours - December

We are going at the beginning of December. I do not see any parks announced for this time frame yet, but I am sure they are coming.

We are staying at AKV - Kidani, staying on points from a friend; we qualify for this perk.

How much does this impact the parks? Wondering if this would be a better alternative to rope dropping? What are the crowds like? A party night?

It’s not that crowded. December 1 is Epcot and December 3 is Animal Kingdom.

The MDE Disneyworld app already shows the calendar through December 6. The 7th will be available tomorrow, the 8th on Monday, etc. The app is updated before the website. You can find the calendar from the hamburger menu by scrolling down to Park Hours & Info. Then swipe left until you get to December, and look at each day to see if it has Extended Evening hours.

Thank you. Now I realize why I do not see any for my stay....there are not any parks hosting it so far for my park days. I looked back at the first and there it is.

Most likely it will be Epcot and AK. MK and DHS have parties.

Party season is always a moving target trying to figure out evening EMHs, there seems to be no rhyme or reason to it - usually Mon. at Epcot, however this year on Mon. 10/27 it’s AK instead, then DHS on Wed. that week & no Epcot at all that week . AK can be just about any day it seems. Last year or the year before I remember getting Epcot twice in one week & another recent year only getting one evening EMH during a week rather than two. Generally I assume Epcot Monday & AK later in the week & once I get official word adjust my plans as needed.
