Express passes and multi day tickets

I was wanting to clear something up. I read in one of the papers that universal studios sent me in the mail that the express pass allowed single day ticket holders to reserve one ride at a time and multi day ticket holders to reserve three at a time. On site guest got FOTL all day everyday. Does it work this way or is it one ride at a time no matter what?
 
On site guests get express access all day, but I believe any off site guest (no matter now many days your pass is good) can only get one express pass at a time.
 
That is OLD news. Back when Express first started, it was like that. Now all ticktes get one express pass at a time (every 1-2hrs) unless some sort of special promotion is being offered (like with APs)
 
Regular guest tickets (non-resort, non promotion) may allow the fetching of a second pass sooner if it is a long time before the first pass is ready for use. This maximum time has been 2 hours but may be shorter (at least at WDW) if the park overall is not too busy.
