One man is dead. Here is the story CTV

I also read on Pulse24 that the man who died entered the men's washroom with explosives strapped to his body.

How sad and shocking - One doesn't expect this sort of thing to happen here in Toronto.

Do you think it has something to do with the recent developments relating to the stock market and Tim Hortons.

Oh my goodness! THat is really shocking. What is becoming of the city? Seems like we have more and more violence. I love Toronto though I don't live there right now and it makes me so sad to hear about things like this. :( :(

How horrible!

If it was someone with explosives strapped to them...my God!

Sometimes I think we just don't realize how lucky we are here in Canada that this type of thing is virtually non-existent.

There are now second reports of a suspicious package found at another Tims'. Hopefully it is just someone being overly cautious.

While I don't want to downpay this story because any suicide is unfortunate, one thing I should tell you about City TV and sometimes CTV and their local news is it's very speculative - they like to "break" the story, regardless if all facts are correct. Until you read it or see it on other news media (Canadian News Wire or CBC), I would take all "facts" with a grain of salt.

Look at all the fear mongering that was caused! Now some poor individual who doesn't pay attention to news very often, maybe just saw that one City news story yesterday afternoon and will think terrorists are after Tim Hortons!

At least the stories have been updates on their websites...

True dat. I agree. I like to watch BT but City can be a bit OTT.

Beth :)

That is the Tim Hortons RIGHT by my work, I was there Satruday morning getting a Tea. Next day this happens. I haven't been by since (I don't go that often). Thankfully no one else got hurt.
