Okay, so I log in today with a new character. I play Jungle cruise and make top 10 list! I get a link to a secure disney page which gives me a pdf of a code for the tent room! Woot Woot! I should be happy, i finally got it! The downfall? You have to take it to WDW to redeem! What the? This is getting ridiculous! I can understand the one for the wristband, but for a room in the game? I win it in the game, but have to go to WDW to actually be able to get it? Makes no sense. :confused3 :guilty:

Yeah, I know. I got a high score in the Jungle Cruise today too. I got that lovely print out too. It's really terrible. There's no way that I'm going to WDW anytime soon and I bet by the time that I get to go, I will have lost the certificate.

Hi Holly saw you post on VMK.forums

Glad you won the room maybe someone who is going down soon can redeem it for you.

Yes! That's what I did. ;) I made friends with a girl who happens to have season passes to WDW and she got the explorer tent for me!!

I'm quite sure somebody around the boards here would be happy to redeem it for you, then PM you the code. ;)

Any volunteers??

I was playing pirates the other morning and got a high score and guess what? Got a link for a pdf for invisibility magic. Have to redeem it at wdw (or DL), but ummm, i already HAVE it from playing pirates and beating level three 10 times.

this makes no sense on 2 fronts.

1. the game didnt recognize that i had already won that pin
2. why offer a pin you have to redeem in person for playing a game, when all you have to do is KEEP PLAYING the same game to get the pin?

:confused3 :confused3 :confused3

i saved mine on my computer just for that reason!

I live close by and would be happy to help. However, with school starting, we will only be going once or twice a month. The other drawback, is that when you redeem a prize, they swipe your Annual Pass and the bar code on the certificate. So I would only be able to get 1 of the same prize every 30 days.

do they just give you the code when you turn in the paper?

They give you a trading card with a picture of the item and the code for the item on the back. (Remember they are single use codes)

Be aware that I've seen a few posts that suggest that for some quest items, you can get it only every *3* months. Don't know if that might be the case for the Explorer's Tent and other in-game prizes.

oooooohhhh a trading card??? We collect trading cards, especially Disney ones, so I would like to get my hands on any different ones which are available (ones with used codes are fine) PM me if you would like to trade :)

that really bites that you can only redeem one tent code every 30-90 days which ever the case may be per ticket.

I know most of us play several characters now we will have to pick and choose which characters get the goods! :(

Holly,
I am going to Disneyland this Sunday (I will be there for 4 days). I do have my own cert. for a tent room, but my mom and sis are also going, so I could just redeem it for you on their pass.
Let me know if you want me to do this. (PM me!)
Skye : )

Aha! So, the marketing ploy works! Register with VMK, play the games, win a prize that can only be redeemed by visiting the parks.

You know what? THIS IS ROTTEN LIKE MY LETTUCE!!!!!

How the ### is someone who lives too far away from Disney supposed to redeem these prizes? We should at least be able to take this to our nearest Disney store and get the prize cards there.

Next thing you know, the fireworks pin will only be available in the parks.

They whole idea behind VMK is to get you to the Parks...but I agree this stinks. You should be able to redeem how many ever coupons you have up to say 5 per ticket. Not 1-4-1 every 30-90 days.

It is hard not acquirring anythin in VMK as it is.

The Explorer tent certificate I have says you can get redeem one Explorer Tent certificate per every 30 days, so if you have say 5 different certificates, that should be OK. I see why they do that...they want you to come to the park, and not just have your friends do it for you! LOL
Also, the Disney Stores are owned by Children's Place, and not affiliated with the parks anymore. They do still sell the park tickets, but the girl I spoke with said that she was not sure how much longer that would be. So, it will be very unlikely that we will be able to redeem our VMK certificates there anytime in the future.

But what about the World of Disney Store on 5th Ave. in Manhattan? They sell Theme Park Exclusive merchandise. Wouldn't they be O&O by Disney themselves? :confused3
