I get a little confused with transportation at MK. We will be using bus service from POR. When we have a ressie at the Poly, we can take the bus to TTC and then take the resort boat over to Poly? I know we could take monorail but got stuck in it once, so won't ride it again.:rolleyes1

You would take the resort bus to MK (it doesn't go to the TTC). Then you could take either the monorail or a small boat direct to the Poly.

If you do end up at the TTC at some point, from there you can walk to the Poly or monorail. But you don't need to go there. That's just extra info.

The TTC's history is interesting. Once exactly what its name suggests, now it's at best the MK parking lot and hence stoker of anticipation and at worst an irritation for day guests.

If you're a Disney resort guest, you've got no reason to use the TTC unless you're traveling to Hollywood Studios or Animal Kingdom from the MK.

I would basically agree with you regarding the TTC's function, except it is where the Epcot monorail starts/ends.

And there are buses from the TTC to/from AK and DHS??

If this is a question yes, but I hear they have expanded the bus stops at the gate and should stop there.

But now that I think about it they will still have to stop at the TTC. I think some off site shuttles only drop off and pick up at the TTC and expect you to take Disney Transportation to the other parks.

Mostly agree but it is also where all offsite shuttles, Lynx, Mears, charter etc buses go. In other words, any non-Disney resort traffic uses the TTC.
