Explain the hours to me...

I feel really stupid, but can someone explain how the extra night hours work? We are staying on site and will be in Disney March 11-14 and then are heading to the Ft. Myers area. If the hours state that MK is open 9-11 does that include the extra hours or is it open and additional three hours? Do they clear out the park and then you re-enter with your room key? Give me a step by step! Thanks!

The extra magic hours are in addition to the normal park hours so for AM the park opens an hour earlier for resort guests and for evening the park stays open after published closing time. So if MK closes at 11 then the emh is from 11pm-2am.

For the morning EMH just present your resort id (one for every member in your party including children) to enter the park. For evening you need to get a wristband to stay in the park after closing. Several stations around the park will open in the evening to distribute wristbands. Just show your resort id, (again one for every member of your party) and get a wristband.

Once the park closes they will only allow guest with wristbands on the attractions and usher everyone else toward the exit.

If the official hours are 9-11 and it's EMH at MK. Then it will be open up to 3hrs past the official time. Towards the end of the day I think they will have stations around the park so you can get a wristband so you can stay in park after official closing.
