Explain the best western options to me

When I go to reserve best western I can never figure out which ones people are referring to here. I know I saw a thread where someone laid out the real names with the abbreviations and explained the basics of each hotel but I can't find it. My preferred hotels are booked for my days so I am going to try something new. I am open to ideas. Nothing further than courtyard theme park. And the toy story shuttle is not an option for us.

There are a few Best Westerns near Disneyland! Here are the closest in terms of the ones that you could walk to DL from.

Best Western Park Place Inn: aka BWPPI
  • closest to the parks.
  • it's RIGHT at the cross walk on Harbor Blvd.
  • comes with free breakfast
Best Western Anaheim Inn:
  • a little farther south on Harbor Blvd.
  • situated between Denny's & Tony Roma's.
  • 2nd closest to the parks
Best Western Plus Stovall's Inn: aka BW Stovall's, BW+Stovalls, BW+Stovall's
  • farther away
  • 2 pools
  • free breakfast
  • on corner of Katella Ave & Disneyland Dr.
  • take ART to parks or walk through DTD, but you can't cut through the GCH anymore. The walk is almost a mile since you have to enter DTD over by the ESPN Zone security tents.
Best Western Plus Pavilions: BW+Pavilions
  • farthest away in terms of walking distance.
  • 1 pool
  • not exactly a free breakfast. They give you some coupons for the Denny's next door, but it's not a full free breakfast meal.
  • on Katella Ave a tad west of BW Stovall's.
  • practically next door to Marri's Pizza...REALLY GOOD FOOD!

That's what I was looking for and all sold out. New question. If I am going to take a cab to and from everyday, what's a good option with 3 or 4 sleeping surfaces? By good, I mean as nice as courtyard theme park? Still within a 10 minute cab ride. With a kid in a wheelchair, the toy story lot trick doesn't help me.

What do you mean by 3 or 4 sleeping surfaces? Do you mean 3 or 4 separate beds? How many people total in the room?

With a cab or Uber, you'll need to provide your own carseats for any children who still use car seats at home. Your best bet would probably be to use ART.

Can the child who's in the wheelchair transfer out of the wheelchair or does he/she need a vehicle that has a wheelchair lift?

Sleeping surfaces: a bed for each kid. 1 boy. 1 girl. I'm willing to share a king bed with the hubby but not a queen.
Public transportation is a pain with the wheelchair and I generally hate it. The wheelchair folds like a stroller and we just transfer her to a regular seat. Basically it looks to me like for a lot cheaper I can get a much better hotel. There is nothing walkable available for our dates. And I am a bit of a hotel snob. I really prefer a full service hotel.

Well, there's always the Hilton Anaheim. Or Sheraton Park Hotel right next door. Or the Red Lion Hotel on Harbor Blvd.

or...
Anaheim Marriot
Hyatt Place at Anaheim Resort/Convention Center
Doubletree Suites on Harbor & Orangewood Ave
Embassy Suites by Hilton Anaheim South
Hyatt Regency Orange County

It sort of depends what price range you are targeting, what specific amenities you want or need, whether or not certain restaurants or types of pools., etc. are possible.

If you need 3 or 4 beds, then your only real options at a full service hotel would be to rent a suite or book 2 rooms.

If one of your APs includes parking I'd just find a place that is convenient to M&F and drive, they have the dedicated ADA shuttle and ramps for the trams. You could try a suite at Great Wolf Lodge for 3 beds with a king, but it's going to cost about the same as DLH to be a lot farther away.

Great wolf is actually way cheaper than anything close to Disney for our dates. We are going to do that for a couple days. Just need to figure out somewhere to stay for the weekend now.
