ACK! I have a dilemma. My question: Can I book for 14 nights with the free dining on Thursday, and then change my ressies later (if I need to cut off a week) without losing the free dining? I'd likely want to switch it to a 6 night with free dining, but it may be a while before I would know whether or not I would need to change the reservation.
Background- if you're interested... I've been in negotiations with a county out-of-state for a new job opening. I originally interviewed last May 2006, but then the county negotiated a deal with their local humane society and the job that they had waiting for me was nixed.
Now, they called me again in January, and they are negotiating with the bank for a price agreement on the humane society's building, which is threatening foreclosure. They said I'm their pick for the job and that if/when the bank comes to an agreement, they want me down there. If the bank won't agree on a price, they plan to build, which means that it could be even longer before I would be needed down there. I've been talking with them back and forth and still no agreement has been made.
:
So, I finally told them that I cannot put my career and personal life on hold and wait on them. I explained that I was still interested, but I wanted them to know that I would be planning some work-related seminars/trainings that would take me out-of-state, as well as a family vacation. I know that from my earlier interview, I would have one week of vacation very soon after my hire date. Plus, I've got the upper hand, and plan to use it to negotiate some extra vacation time!
I plan to book on Thursday for the free dining if the rumors are true. We'd like to book for 14 nights with the free dining. I know that where I work now I can do this. However, if we move, I can't be certain that I would get a full two plus weeks of time off that soon after starting the position.
Input please!
