Yep, you can get ice cream novelties in the Marketplace, they open at 7:00 AM.

Funny about the ice cream! One option would be to purchase ice cream from the BC Marketplace - but that would be ice cream bars, not scooped ice cream. But I agree with Erika - room service is definitely worth a try. And hit-or-miss is exactly how I would describe CM assistance in this context.

Oops - I didn't read all the additional messages before posting! We've been able to access the BC Marketplace coffee, beverage and grocery area as early as 6:30am. (I only know that because we have two early birds in our family - I'm not one of them, but when they wake me up, I require coffee as soon as possible!) And then the rest opens at 7am.

I'm so excited to get to be going to WL next month (I'm the only one in my family who has yet to stay there!). We will be staying in a Deluxe room (myself, sister, and parents) with CL for three nights. I'm joining them on the last days of their vacation, and so they will be moving from POR over with me I was lucky to get to go with my mom and other sister for a four night stay--the last night being CL at Poly. I'm kind of waffling whether or not to just move us over to the Poly, just because I know the resort (it's quite possibly my favorite) or enjoy the WL (which I always think looks so lovely and fun to stay at) in a deluxe room.

We are arriving at the Beach Club very late the evening of May 27 - we probably won't get there until midnight or later. Should I do on-line check in or will we be all set because we're Club level? I'm hoping to make the process as quick as possible to get the kids to bed.

I would go ahead and do online check-in. It will save time. Also make sure your room requests have been noted on your reservation. The club level desks will be closed at that time of the night so you'll just go to the lobby front desk.

Another vote for online check-in! During our last stay (split between Pop, WL and BC) we did online check-in for all three, even though our WL and BC stays were CL. We were eligible for direct-to-room and when staying at Pop (and arriving at 1:30am!) we received a text with our room number before we even left our house for the airport. Upon arrival, we were able to go directly to our room without stopping at the front desk or anywhere else. Just used our magic bands to enter and the kids were asleep right away. Loved it! If you are able to use the direct-to-room, I'd highly recommend it!

No bands did not work with direct. Were told they have have to be activated by accessing the room first then they work. Which makes no sense.

That's what I've been wondering. I haven't stayed CL since December so I haven't experienced this issue yet. Man I wish there was a way to make it work because I would LOVE to go straight to our room in July. We've got an ADR to get to shortly after we arrive.

I should have asked about that last month at WL and BC CLs. We were set up for direct-to-room online, but in both cases, the CL CMs actually walked us to our room and checked that our bands were operating. I wasn't sure if that's based on the number of bands we have (lots) or if that's new standard procedure. I thought it was funny because we were all set for direct-to-room during online check-in, and it worked so well at Pop, but then the CL process was even more involved than earlier this year before the direct-to-room was active.

Erika, I'm with you - I'd love to go direct-to-room when staying CL. Maybe the exception would be YC, because we haven't stayed CL there yet and a quick orientation is fine. Otherwise, we're set to go!

THIS! None of our bands worked in AKL elevator to club level and the bands that were sent for the trip didn't open the door. l luckily had taken our October GF stay band (it was the pink one and I got blue for the AKL trip) and it worked both on the door and then club elevator. After about an hour the others worked fine. Go figure!

We had the same issue in October with our bands not opening the door. That time we were taken from the entrance directly to our room main building second floor. It took 3 trips ( and that is some serious walking from those 2nd floor rooms) to get them to work!

Our bands missed the Magic part.

On this same subject, we are staying for the first time CL at BC starting 5/28. It is a split stay starting with AOA, then switching to BC. I did do online check-in. We were hoping to leave AOA the morning of 5/28 and go directly to BC to check in and hopefully have breakfast in the CL lounge before heading to HS for the day. It is fine if our room is not ready. So will we be greeted by the CL CM and be able to go to the lounge and eat? This was my understanding and I hope I did it right by doing online check in.

Out of poly, gf, WL and cr CL stays last year our CR was the only steamlined one.

Funny story, we took ME. Dd and I for fun had a race. When ME stopped first at Poly she got off and ran for the monorail to take and meet me at CR. The bus stopped next at gf then arounf to WL and CR.

When I got off they met me with a tablet and asked a few q's. Dd finally arrived outside (I won!!!)and we walked to MK. Shortly we got a text with room number. When we returned our MB's worked on the elevator to the 12th floor and to our room

The CL cm saw us pass and brought out paperwork to our room shortly after.
