EXPIRED: Part ONE of 2015 CLUB LEVEL (CL) INFORMATION and HELP Thread DO NOT POST HERE!!!

These are probably ridiculous questions, but this is our first time staying CL so bear with me. I was wondering if it's acceptable to get breakfast in the lounge and bring it back to the room to eat or grab a banana to save for a snack later, or are you expected to only serve yourself what you will be eating in the lounge? Also, could you get a QS meal at the resort and eat it in the lounge? We are staying at WL and I've heard the seating at the Roaring Fork is a bit cramped.

I was planning on getting some sweet and sour mix too, but pictures I have seen recently of the evening cordials have not included diSaronno...I am worried they don't have it any more! Does anyone know? Seriously, worried. Not like end-of-civilization worried, but...
They do at GF.. I will be at BC this weekend and will check out the liquor

All the above is perfectly acceptable!

Enjoy!M

I am the same way! We are (tentatively) booked at the GF in August under the summer discount, but CR CL is also available. I have thought many times about changing as I very much want to try CR CL, but I am having a hard time making the change as I'm not sure I'd be as happy there in the summer as I would be at the GF :rolleyes2.
The CR pool doesn't thrill me, so I think I would rather try it in colder weather ( like our February trip), but then I would miss spending more time listening to the band because of the colder weather...ugh...decisions, decisions. I think a split stay to try it out will have to be the solution for me:)

What are the alcohol options at GF RPC? I feel like at AKL CL, which is the only other CL I've tried, there was only beer and wine. I bet I totally missed the bottles of liqueurs!

Yay, thanks! I assumed they still had it at GF since they did in February, but I was afraid it might be yet another cutback. I hope you see it at BC because I'll be there soon:)

We do all of the above! In fact, we often take QS back to the lounge for lunch instead of eating in the crowded parks because it is so much more relaxing:)

I have to run but I have stayed in both. The hospitality suite is in garden wing and you have to go to 12 th floor of main building for lounge. Page 1 has my pics of that suite. Pm me with questions and I will try to answer when I can.

Thanks so much. That will be inconvenient for the lounge. I am curious is the suite as nice as it looks?

As trisha posted, you would have to go to lounge on the 12th floor in the main tower if you stay in the GW hospitality suite as the GW doesn't have a lounge. If it were me, I'd opt for 2 standard CL rooms as I'd want to stay in the main tower. Good luck.

I agree. Thank you!

I agree with Mickeynut! The appeal of CR to me is the convenience to the monorail, and with GW you lose that. Plus, that's way too far from the lounge IMO. I hope you can still get the two rooms in Atrium. That's something I want to try sometime too...I just have trouble straying from my favorite -GF:)

I read a review that the Garden Wing isn't far from the Monorail. Since it has been so long since we stayed there - I don't know. We did get the Atrium rooms and at the discount. We are so excited. Thanks so much.

I agree with mickeynut1 also as if one of the perks is enjoying the food and beverage, GW is a long way away !

And mickeynut1 I sure hope your Chicago Bulls are playing better than my San Antonio Spurs ! :sad2:

I agree - thanks so much.

------------------------------

The CR and AK are the only two resorts that we have not stayed CL. This has been on our Disney bucket list. We are a family of 6 - so we usually stay in a Deluxe CL room so we all fit. We are 7 this trip so we don't fit into a deluxe this trip - so we are excited to try it.

How are the CR CL food offerings for breakfast and night time snacks?

Thanks for all the advice. It helped me make a decision. We got the 2 atrium rooms. We can't wait. :yay:

You can ask for beer, wine, or champagne anytime (7am-10pm), but from 5-7pm, they have Merlot, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, White Zin, and Champagne. The Champagne is really good mixed with the tropical juice that they put out during snack time. Sometimes they will mix some up for you if you ask nicely, or you could put some in your fridge. From 8-10pm they have evening cordials, but I only remember DiSaronno and Kahlua because I like those:)
BTW, I'm thinking of naming the tropical juice/Champagne drink because I started that this past Super Bowl and all the women sitting around joined me because it's good! Any suggestions??

Are they still serving Jungle Juice Mimosa at AKL CL? I have heard about these wonderful concoctions for years and I hope that with my trip just 15 days away I will be able to partake.

Just switched to the GF CL for my 9 month old and I for next week!! Excited to see how it stacks up against the BC CL.

Congratulations!! You are in for a treat! :cloud9:

Hmmmm....So what happens if I send it to the IPO and then look myself as well and find something and book it but they've already booked it for me that same morning as I found it? I didn't think the system would allow the same person to hold two reservations? Although I guess that would be unlikely we'd be looking at the same time.

Do you think I should start looking at the 180 day mark or see what IPO gets and then start looking myself for anything they weren't able to book?

I think that you will be just fine doing this...:goodvibes

Help please? I am not familiar with the Contemporary:
We are adding 2 days to our summer trip and we want to stay at the Contemporary. We have a choice of the Garden Wing Hospitality Suite or two Standard CL rooms Atrium Club. I haven't stayed at the Contemporary in about 20 years and not sure how where the Garden Wing is located. It says that the Garden Wing is club level - is there a separate club level or do you have to go to the 12th floor. The Suite looks beautiful but we really wanted to stay in the main building. The price is the same for either choice. Thanks for your help.

Iknow that other very knowledgeable posters have already answered your question....just wanted to say Congrats on booking the Atrium Club rooms :goodvibes...they are soooo nice..and much more convenient to the very beautiful lounge that they have there.....:thumbsup2

So... After seeing pictures of Garden View Hawaii today, I upgraded to Lakeview.. Scared me!!

Congrats to you too! :thumbsup2 What a nice view...

Uh oh...I hope they still have it! I want to know the answer to this too???? I would be upset too. It's not like I have to have it, but it's nice to have it down there.

Well they did have it on our last trip....but I will be happy to check for you on our upcoming stay! :goodvibes

Absolutely to all of the above! :thumbsup2

Have done that split and its wonderful!! :cloud9: ...I will say though..CR is our second favorite...a Disney classic IMO...and the best views on property!

I need to go look at my pics..but there are indeed liquers....:drinking:..

Sounds delicious!! How about a Grand Splash!?? :drinking1

I like Blue's suggestion of the Grand Splash! You have to have "Grand" in the name for sure!

Does the Wilderness Lodge have the texting service.
Thank you

I wanted to know also, and I "thought" if I emailed them, I could introduce myself, call me nerdy, I'm excited about our trip, I'm surprising DH with CL, and it is a special trip

The reply was not amused. They explained FP, but not texting, the email made me feel embarrassed for sending it. Which is fine, they must get hundreds, and it wasn't specific (ie asking for reservations) and I probably used "too many words" (like now)

But at least I used paragraphs!

Some people, whether IPO or CMs working in the CL, genuinely love helping their guests have a "magical" experience, but there are other people who don't really seem to care. For the most part, everyone is pleasant, but when you find that CM that really gets excited about his/her job, latch on to them! They have the power to give your trip that little extra bit of pixie dust to make your trip special...like making Oreo Bon Bons appear in your refrigerator when they find out you will be leaving before they serve them for dessert!

I wouldn't worry about it! It's hard with emails to know how to read what is written and sometimes tell whether they are being "short" with you or just factual! Hopefully all future communications are obviously friendly and inviting in tone so, like Dispro said, the rest is all MAGICAL :wizard:

And, I love WL. I've never stayed CL there but it is a beautiful hotel. I grew up in FL and so as a kid we always went to the parks. Then after we moved we would still go to the parks when we went back to FL to visit family. When I got married I was living in OH and my DH had never been to WDW. So for his 30th birthday I surprised him with a trip. I asked him to take a few days off because my parents were in town. Then I bought a pair of Mickey ears and had the engraved with his name and I wrapped them. When he opened the box he looked confused and then said, "Are we going to Disney World?" When I told him yes he got so excited! We stayed at WL and we had an amazing time. It was my first time really experiencing the full Disney experience as well - we never stayed onsite growing up in FL or when we were back visiting family and we never ate anything but snacks and QS in the park - so this was a whole new side of WDW for me to love as an adult!
