EXPIRED: Part ONE of 2015 CLUB LEVEL (CL) INFORMATION and HELP Thread DO NOT POST HERE!!!

I just found out that I might inherit a little money from my uncle's estate so I'm thinking of upgrading our August trip to club level which we've never done before. As far as deluxes we've stayed at AKL, BC, CR, and YC in the past and liked all of them but BC was probably our least favorite. If I'm going to upgrade to CL I want it to be worth the upgrade and I haven't read the best things about YC and BC club levels. I've always been in love with the Poly but my DH and DD think the GF is amazing. I'm just starting to way the pros and cons of each CL to decide which one would be the best for us so I would love opinions from everyone.

The Beach Club has had a major refurbishment of the lounge and club level rooms this year. It's supposed to be spectacular now. I had wonderful service at the Beach Club when we stayed there. I have stayed at the GF Sugar Loaf club level and did not like the resort or the lounge as much as I'd liked the Beach Club. I've heard RPC is the better of the two GF club levels, though the resort doesn't do much for me. I've stayed there twice, service was good, but not as good as at the Beach. I'm really looking forward to our upcoming stay at the CR club level. I've heard really good things about the service there as well.

I am also very interested in a Poly club stay, but not this year. I want to wait until all the construction is done before I stay there.

I was hoping that poly construction would be done by August because that is my dream resort. I am thinking that the GF CL would not be worth it for us even though my dh and dd think it is great. We stayed at CR the last two years in the garden wing and loved it but I am not sure that I want to do a third year in a row at CR CL even though we've never stayed in the tower. We didn't love the BC theme/noise but we did love the location and SAB so if the new CL is amazing that might be enough to bring us back. I know some people rave about CL at AKL and WL so I was wondering about them even though there is no monorail or walking to any of the parks.

We just got back from a split stay. Poly CL then BC CL. We have never stayed Poly CL but have stayed at the BC CL. We were so excited to try it especially that we had a view of the castle from our room. We were disappointed with the Poly. The food was minimal - especially when you compare it to the BC CL. The BC CL had double the food options throughout the day. The first morning we ate at the Poly - they ran out of oatmeal about an hour before it closed. We had been out until 2am the night before so we were late to breakfast. I asked why they ran out and the CM said they had a rush of people. Shouldn't they know how many people to expect. They had cereal, croissants and bagels - that's all. Asked for yogurt and they were out. I like that you can stay in the Poly lounge all day and they have coffee and soda available all day and night. We also like watching Wishes from the lounge with the music piped in. That was a nice perk.

We then went to the BC CL and realized how little food the Poly had. The BC had so many choices for breakfast, oatmeal, grits, hard boiled eggs, 3 flavors of yogurt, bagels, croissants, muffins, cereal and fruit. This was the same for the evening snacks - the BC had so many more options than the Poly. Plus with the BC renovations - the lounge is huge - more than double the original size. We never had to wait to sit and it was during Presidents week. The CMs told us that they took 2 rooms away to add to the CL. The BC lounge and room renovations were just beautiful.

We can't wait to go back to the BC. Here are some pictures of the lounge, concierge area and room.

I definitely like the new bedding, esp. with the lamps..but what is this on the nightstand? Looks like they put a part of a chair or of a pasting table on the nightstand...really odd, but maybe just because I have never seen something like this before.

Nice to hear that you enjoyed your stay at the BC. What kind of view did you have?
I am not the biggest fan of the Poly in general, but did you have any trouble with the construction going on?

It reminds me of a lifeguard stand. It looks like it might be handy to use to put your cellphones and such to charge for the night, while still allowing you to have water or your book on the nightstand.

Hi!
We are staying at Beach Club and was wondering if anyone knew what time club level check in is open until?
Thanks!

We just got back from the BC CL - you will love it. The renovations are amazing. The club level is more than double the size than it used to be.

Thank you for the pictures and the update! DD11 is going to be thrilled with the grits at breakfast!

If you didn't like the BC before I doubt staying CL would make that much of a difference. It's still going to be the same resort, the only difference being your access to the lounge. I agree with your DH and DD, the GF is amazing and I like being on the monorail in August due to the high heat and humidity. It's a quick escape from an overly crowded and sweaty MK. :D

I was expecting to love the Poly and was just didn't. Don't get me wrong it is a beautiful hotel and glad we stayed there but will probably not go back unless I get a great deal. There was so much construction. We had the Castle view so we were right near the construction. Trucks early in the morning. It made getting around a little difficult for my parents. It added extra walking. We couldn't go right to the dock to catch the boat - we had to walk all the way to the main building to go around the construction. It was fine for us - but too much walking for my parents. I will also add that my daughters pocketbook was taken from the club level lounge. Didn't make us feel like home. She left it there at about 11:15pm (we were the last ones there) and by 8am it was gone and no one turned it in. We lost our camera which was the worst part. All our pictures from the first 3 days. We lost many things in the parks and always got them back - I expected a little different from the Poly.

We had two rooms at the BC CL - one GV and one LV. Here is the picture from the LV. Center of the back entrance to EPCOT. Lovely view. The view form the GV wasn't bad either. It was the back garden. Here are some other pictures of the room. The thing on the night table was a little odd at first but it came in handy for holding our stuff. Loved the BC renovations - will definitely go back.

It did come in handy. We used it all the time.

We liked the lobby atmosphere at YC much better than BC but we do love SAB plus walking to Epcot and HS. Maybe having the club level lounge would make the lobby atmosphere at BC not really important. Do all the CL BC rooms have full balconies? Am I correct that the YC CL lounge is tiny like BC used to be?

I have a question: When IPO makes your ADRs, will they automatically show up online in your My Disney Experience account? This is our first trip since they started MDE. Thanks! :)

IPO made my ADRs a couple weeks ago. Everything did show up online on my, My Disney experience account. It was super easy!

No, all the BC CL rooms do not have full balconies - I hear about half. Yes the YC CL is about the size of the old BC. I like the YC better than the BC also but with the size of the lounge - I would probably pick the BC over the YC.

Yes it will automatically show up in your MDE account. Ours did this past trip. We couldn't get BOG and the IPO got it for us. It was great.

Thanks for the replies. It's almost 10:30am and nothing is showing up on my MDE. Should I assume that IPO hasn't made my ADRs yet?? Thanks.

Still considering CL at CR for Easter Weekend. We've stayed CL at CR before, but were not in the lounge for fireworks or the castle projection show. Does anyone know if you can see/hear the projection show from the Atrium Club lounge?

When IPO made our ADRs they appeared on my MDE a couple of hours later (I also received an email confirming my ADRs)
