I contacted IPO prior to arrival. Asked if there was anyway to have some snacks put in our room, we weren't arriving until very late, after 11pm and just wanted something easy, really just asked for water and a snack. Arrived and found several sodas, gummy bears, goldfish and some cookies. Perfect for my 14 year old.

May I ask which resort this was at? We're arriving around midnight on Christmas Eve, staying WL CL, and I was wondering where we could get a snack that late. I didn't think of this option! Some milk and cookies on Christmas Eve would be perfect.

Yay! So glad you enjoyed your trip, and really appreciate all the great photos! While Poly might not be in its best state, those photos really help to capture different perspectives of the construction so I'll feel more prepared. View from the lounge and from the garden view room (which we booked) still look great. Loved to hear about the CL CMs, and the welcoming atmosphere. And since we're at Poly for marathon weekend, we'll spend most of our time in/around Hawaii anyway. Would be nice if the GCH lobby was open again by our arrival on Jan. 7, but I know Steve is reporting otherwise. Fingers crossed!

It is what it is. Not as pretty as usual but still a nice place to visit.

Hope you have a great poly Cl visit too! The chef said he changes menu every 8 months or so and I did notice some new items

WL - CL. Nothing fancy, some gold fish, gummy bears and cookies, some sodas I. The fridge, just enough to take the traveling edge off!!!

We will be booking YC for May 2015, (hoping that renovations won't start until after we arrive!) Does anyone know the current situation with bottled water, it was the endless debate before my trip in 2013, and I still don't know now!! Our last May 2013 trip we were able to ask on our way out and they always gave us bottled water and I wanted to know if this was still the case? Thanks

We were just at the YC CL last month and were told no more water bottles when we asked.

at WL-CL, there was a bottle of sparkling that they refilled and a large vat of flat/table water for glasses. But no water bottles.

I was wondering if the CL offerings have changed much since Kouzzina has closed. It seemed to me th early evening offerings had a Greek vibe to them (some--not all). Anyone have any recent feedback to share?

This question came up on the BWI thread. A guest of the Innkeeper's Club asked a CL CM about this and I believe was told that the appetizers were never prepared at Kouzzina's and they are unchanged.

At the Poly -- What's still considered a Theme Park View in the Hawaii building? Can you see the fireworks from the 3rd floor lagoon-facing rooms? What about the 2nd floor? Can you see the Electrical Parade at all from any of the rooms?

Due to the construction, we cancelled our TPV Hawaii reservation that would have begun next week. We'd like to reschedule for next Christmas season, but we worry that we'll be disappointed by the loss of view (and quiet).

We just checked in At the BC--the lounge is amazing. So spacious and plenty of seating. The refurb is beautiful, too.

Oh my goodness I'm about 15 pages behind! Life has gotten in the way and I haven't been here lately. I hope everyone who has come and gone all had wonderful trips. The kids and I arrive at the WL CL in just 17 days for our Christmas trip!
