Just signing off here! We check in to BC tomorrow morning, and then on Sunday, check in for a week of CL at YC! I will try to update here, and will take lots of pictures!

I was so inspired by this conversation I called last night and booked WL CL for eight nights over Christmas. I was able to get the AP rate every night except the 24th and 25th. Those were rack rate of course. The price made me feel a little dizzy! LOL It has been my DREAM for years to be on property for Christmas Day!!!

We have BC CL booked for next weekend. I know about the temporary movement of lounge to presidential suite. Just found we could book YC CL for a bit less. We have stayed at both and love both and while i was at first bummed about the change in the BC lounge, I had convinced myself to be intrigued and curious to see. Now I'm second guessing and thinking of moving us to YC. WWYD ?

Just coming back from YC CL, I'd make the switch. Although it was my first time at either resort, YC Was wonderful!! Rooms wee okay, slightly outdated, but CL staff was wonderful!! They were always polite, around when I needed them and eager to help with anything.

Just my own thoughts. Can't go wrong either way.

Thanks. We actually were in YC CL last March and had a great time (it was a magical upgrade to boot). But I've been reading so many negative comments here and on other sites I was second guessing myself....

Does anyone know if they pipe in the HalloWishes music at the Contemporary Atrium Club level lounge? I called them yesterday and they said they didn't know. They pipe in the regular wishes but nobody knows about party nights.

Hoping someone has some first hand experience. Thank you!

Sounds so amazing I would love to go during Christmas as well ... We are getting close to being able to do it with most of our grandkids getting old enough to be okay with it. Shoot who I'm I kidding it's hard to think about not making the breakfast casserole and other traditions at home, but like previous posts have said it might be nice to be off the hook from cooking.

What special things did you notice at CL during Christmas Eve and Day? Anything that is extra special for Christmas?

I'm sorry, we actually didn't stay club level during Christmas, so I don't have any information concerning special things in the lounge. We were just there this past June club level and absolutely loved it, except for the fact that now we don't want to stay in anything but concierge!!

Just plan that 12/24 and 12/25 are going to be at least double what you'll pay the rest of the nights that week. It's actually better that you know now so you can be prepared!

Last year, upon check-in, Disney upgraded us to WL CL! I SWEAR they know what they are doing, because it was so amazing, this year we booked it!

Has anyone else ever received the amazing CL upgrade completely gratis from Disney? Then, got so used to the spoilage, that you just HAD to stay again?

Great marketing by disney I must say….It was the end of the summer, the lodge was not that full & from what I could wrangle out of the CL staff, they told me Disney does this when CL isn't filled up. This year we are going the same time frame, as club was only about $100 more per night of the room rate, so we did this instead of dining plan

Absolutely! We have been to AKL so many times, but never done CL. We thought we would splurge for our anniversary. Will definitely report back!

I can't wait to read all about your stay . We also love AKL as we visit every trip to eat at Boma. November seems like it's a ways away, but it will be here before you know it. I think AKL CL is a great way to spend an anniversary trip .

I am trying to decide if I should borrow points for a 4 night stay the beginning of Sept or try CL with an AP discount. Our family of 5 would normally stay in a 1 bdrm and do a light food shopping for breakfasts, snacks and drinks. We have TIW for dinners. So can you give me your opinions on if CL is "worth" it and if so, which one you recommend? Of course since I am only 2 weeks away from travel I need to make up my mind ASAP!
