EXPIRED: Part ONE of 2015 CLUB LEVEL (CL) INFORMATION and HELP Thread DO NOT POST HERE!!!

I really doubt that the lounge at the BW is going to be redone. I can't see them closing it down and not offering any club rooms when it was closed for almost a month. It doesn't make any sense.
What also doesn't make any sense is that the GM or whoever else was in charge only realizing after one month of renovations that something was done wrong. Wouldn't they have checked while the renovations were in progress to see if it met their specs.? If this is really the case then this is gross incompetence on someone's part.
Also, how the GM still insists on having that ridiculous bucket of ice water filled with soda rather than having a mini fridge like they do in all the other WDW Club Level lounges is beyond comprehension.

I agree. I read the explanation and I was totally puzzled. Either that's what they are telling people to keep negative comments down, or someone really dropped the ball.
If it's true, I suppose they could relocate the lounge into one of large suites for a month or so. Who know?
And the drippy bucket 'o melting ice needs to go. Surely they can find some $$ somewhere to purchase a small frig. ::yes::

I just booked club level at AKL. It has been almost 8 years since we've stayed there so I am very much looking forward to it.

I don't plan on being in the parks for very long but instead will enjoy the animal watching from the balcony while the family does the parks. Any suggestions for room location for optimal viewing? TIA

Was wondering if anyone had any pictures of the lobby/seating area of Sugarloaf at GF CL? I've seen pictures of RPC and pictures of the food area at SL but wondered if anyone had pictures of (or link to) the seating area? Thanks.

WDWKOOK-I just finished reading your trip report on the YC and I am in total agreement with you. We stayed CL in May and we were highly disappointed.
We were trying not to be negative as we usually stay BWI-CL but there was no availability. :sad1: We found only 2 people to be very friendly and you had a picture of him standing near the make shift bar. He checked us in and was fantastic. We were very disappointed in the evening appetizers. Most nights they only had 2 items out for dessert.

That was our experience with dessert, too, just two tiny desserts. And, I agree that the CM "bartender" was very patient and nice, especially considering how many times he must have had to repeat what the "bar" offerings were since they aren't posted and you can't see the ones on the floor:upsidedow. But, I only dealt with him at the "bar."

Hello,

Just booked our first CL trip :banana::banana:

It will be at the BC, deluxe room CL in May 2015 :yay::yay::yay:

Soooooooo happy :)

Here is a link from the GF thread that shows pics of SL after the refurb (pics are from baler31):

HTH :)

I just posted my Yacht Club/Club Level review HERE.

Thanks for your detailed and honest review :). I'm sorry your YC CL stay wasn't the best.

Sadly, from what I've been reading the last few months, this seems to be the consensus lately on YC CL.

I now have a reservation in August 2015 for garden view -club level at the Poly! I'm so excited!

Congrats :thumbsup2. We are also staying Poly GV CL next year (although in July) :goodvibes.

Kook, yep! It's so sad that there's multiple reports of dissatisfaction. I LOVE the YC--I'd love to stay there again--but I just simply cannot and will not pay for CL service there ever again unless something major changes. I know the rooms will soon be rehabbed, and that would hopefully improve the room situation, but housekeeping and the staff need some major rehabs, too.

Disney does so many things right. I don't understand how the YC CL is almost a complete 180 from my experience everywhere else. :confused3

Starting to already plan our 2015 trip and haven't even gone on our nov 2014 trip lol Any word on the estimated completion of the poly? We haven't stayed their in many many years close to 20 yrs ago so thinking of CL in November 2015 ... Do you think the poly will be put back together by then? If not our second option is CR and it's been years since we've stayed there as well. We got on the GF train and stayed on it for 10 years but ready for change and to revisit some old favorites : )

So I'm thinking about taking my little sister to Disney for a surprise birthday trip in Feb 2015. She was born on Valentine's Day and it's ironic because she doesn't really get any love on her birthday. So being the nice sister that I am ... I want to take her to her first trip to Disney. She'll be turning 17 next year and I was thinking about staying at AKL since she loves animals. I'm really interested in doing the Night Vision Safari for her but it only seems to be offered to CL guests. I'm just wondering if it'll be worth doing CL just to do the Sunrise/Sunset/Night Vision Safari. I would love to get our moneys worth by eating at the lounge but she's a SUPER picky eater and is pretty much allergic to everything! (even rice!) Would it be possible for them to make special items for her or are we just stuck with whatever food is available at the lounge? TIA! :goodvibes

Wilderness Lodge Club Level Question: I can't seem to find a map of the 7th floor, only 1-6. Does anyone know if there is one out there? We are staying in a club level standard room with 2 queen beds and trying to figure out what the view options are. Thanks

Checked in to akl cl today for the first time, had been worried about room being far from lounge, but it's not the case at all ...very easy...they said they use to the first three pods off the lobby for cl guests..we are in the second on zebra trail ...and super easy to get to pool...view is great ...evening offerings great...so far so good!!! Any questions ?

This is from Kook's posting from the WL thread

Club Level/Views/Evening Menus

There is a map of the 7th floor and the views listed there :)

How nice of you to do that for your sister :). We love AKL and although we've never tried CL there, I have read nothing but great things about it. AKL is a great resort, IMO, and I think trying CL is a great idea. With that said, we don't have any special dietary needs in my family, but Disney is very good about accommodating those needs for guests. I think if you talk to someone at the beginning of your stay, they would be more than willing to have things in the lounge for your sister to eat ;).

Here is a link to information about WL CL, which includes a club level room number map. Not sure how helpful it will be, but that's all I was able to find:
