EXPIRED: Part ONE of 2015 CLUB LEVEL (CL) INFORMATION and HELP Thread DO NOT POST HERE!!!

Hi, I never stayed club level before, but this year I will be spending the last 2 nights of my 6 night stay at BWI club level. I know one of their services is that they help find you dinner reservations if possible. My question is, do they only do that for the nights you are booked at club level or for your whole Disney trip? For example, I'd love to try to get a reservation at CRT, but would prefer to go during the Magic Kingdom part of our stay. I only want to be in the Epcot area the last two nights and don't want to go all the way back to MK just for dinner. Thanks

They are only able to book during your CL stay, not your whole 6 night stay. I've tried :(

My trip won't be until 2015, but with all the changes with magic bands and fast pass, does the concierge service help schedule the fast passes (through my disney experience?) Is this in the future? Just curious :goodvibes

We just returned from our Atrium Club Level stay at the Contemporary...and YES, we were given a card with a number to text during our visit, informed that we were part of a "test," and invited to text our requests to the number throughout our stay. We used the text feature in the Magic Kingdom: my first text was to ask where I could find the Vera Bradley Disney bags! A cast member texted me right back with exact directions where to locate the bags. After we used our pre-booked FPs (booked at home before our visit), we knew we wanted more, so we found one of the FP kiosks in Fantasyland...people were lined up for the kiosk...it looked like a long wait in the sun. That's when it occurred to me that maybe the concierge could book another FP for us. I texted them, they texted right back, told me what was available nearby, and POOF, they set up our FP. We walked right on to It's a Small World with our FP. As soon as I scanned my band at the scanny Mickey head I received another text from the concierge, "would you like me to book your next Fast Pass?" This continued throughout the day. I have visited WDW many times and this visit was by far the most relaxing and productive visit I have ever experienced. I wonder if this (concierge text FP booking on the go feature) will be included for all Club Level guests in the future, or available separately for purchase, or how they will handle it. We certainly lucked out this time and it was super fantastic! pixiedust:

Sugarloaf or CR CL?

I had been planning to book a Sugarloaf reservation next summer when the new rates come out. Now, I am thinking of CR because of the reviews Sugarloaf is getting.

I have only stayed CL once at the Boardwalk. I really enjoyed the experience. I found I spent less money on food, and we went so far as to cancel some table service meals because we just weren't hungry. In one more week, we are trying WL CL.

Factors in making my decision are:

I have a desire to stay at all the Disney hotels. I have stayed at all the deluxes, except GF and YC. I wanted to stay at a MK resort next summer, and I was underwhelmed by the Poly. Thought I would try the Grand.

I have boys who are not particularly interested in the Grand, but I really am and I am paying.

I loved the CR, and we have not stayed there in 11 years. My baby (10) has never stayed there. I think it would be fun to go back.

So, with all that said, it boils down to which one is better. I can't spring for RPC. So which do you like better and why, CR CL or GF SL?

Wow, that is wonderful. Very anxious to find out if this is at AKL come next week.

I hope they have this in place for all CL in the fall of 2015. This would be the #1 reason I would book CL!!!

Wow, sounds great!

Here at the YC--the last resort of a 2-week/6-resort vacation and our third CL resort during this stay. I just checked in today, and am sadly unimpressed and think this will be our last CL stay at the YC unless something changes over the next day or two. Our room smells funky, our drain in the shower is clogged, housekeeping is rather mediocre, we have a crappy view over a roof, our room was ready late, we received no chocolates (again!), and I just really find the staff here very unenthusiastic and not very warm and friendly. (It's also my birthday and absolutely no acknowledgement of that even though it's on our reservation and my husband notified the IPO.) Also, the bathroom outside of the lounge (which we had to use since we didn't have a room for most of the day) is awful--it smells like someone peed all over it. It's rather disappointing as YC is one of my favorite resorts, but BW is priced the same and their CL staff blows YC's out of Crescent Lake.

It's not to say we won't stay at YC any longer, but I think we'll stay in a regular room and for shorter stays.

Wow! I checked out Sunday and had the total opposite experience. I too had my birthday while on the trip and received several candy bars and balloons from the CL staff. We didn't get the letter in our room like I have with chocolate, but they gave me a signed picture of Minnie.
The staff was amazing.. Always quick with a hello and offer to get anything I needed.
I never used the bathroom, but loved every minute of our CL stay!
It was very close to our stay in Sugar Loaf last February

I agree! I hope it will be included with a club level booking. I wonder by how much $$ they're about to raise the price of CL? Yikes! But I mean, it was so awesome, easy to use, and made such a HUGE difference for us, it might be worth paying for. I'm normally a cheapskate throughout the year in "real life", but when I take a vacation I am willing to spend a buck or two. This could be Disney's new secret weapon.
:)

Just wow! Thanks so much for posting! We booked CL at AKL, GF and BWI for our stay in January and this would be absolutely wonderful!!

Wow!! Thanks for sharing your report and the info! :thumbsup2 I'm wondering if CR is the only club level trying this or if there are others? I'm staying at Yacht Club and would love the opportunity to test this as well. Anyone know which club levels are doing this besides CR? Thanks!:goodvibes

Thanks for your review. I'll be at Yacht Club in about 3 weeks. I'm really hoping that I don't experience what you experienced. We actually preferred the YC to BWI. I wasn't thrilled with the BWI staff on my last stay and I usually experienced top notch service from them. Sometimes it is what it is. :confused3

Wow! We really love and enjoy CL, but this service would make it even better!! :goodvibes

We enjoyed our stay at AKL CL last month. :thumbsup2 If I ever go back there I would request a room as close to the elevator as possible. So we could try and cut down on the insanely long walks from the room to the lounge. We found we didn't go there to grab a drink or snack as often as we normally would because it was such a long way.

We didn't mind the walk as much per se, surely not as convenient but it wasn't too bad, what bugged us most is the lack of stairs option. The outside staircase is locked and doesn't have a keypad so we were stuck waiting for elevators. We also didn't do too many walks back and forth, because we stayed in the lounge a lot.

Now we're staying YC next month and I'm worried about the distance from the lounge. We were BC a couple years ago and remember that being a hike. We're standard view this time at YC and while I'm okay with the view, I'd prefer not to be near the buses. Same as I don't want to be near the elevators. I'm leaving it up to the room assignment gods and if what we get is too bad, I'll see what's available.

Glad you're still posting. I enjoy your live reports especially.
