EXPIRED: Part ONE of 2015 CLUB LEVEL (CL) INFORMATION and HELP Thread DO NOT POST HERE!!!

We've got Feel the Force for 6/6 :) I hope it's worth the money. The kids will be majorly bummed if they can't see the parade.

I love the Atrium Club :thumbsup2 I wrote a report about it if you haven't seen it yet: https://erika_murphy.silvrback.com/disney-s-contemporary-resort

It's tough to pack this time of year because the kids are using their summer clothes. So I really can't do a lot until Thursday. I've become quite skilled at last minute packing. I did buy some Mickey soaps and Tide pods, I still need to get quite a few things at the store for the kids camping gear. Crazy!

I just wish the rest of my family was as excited for WDW as I am!!!!!!!! :hyper:

I just read your trip report and am even more excited to leave on Saturday. I am already packed ;)

This is really just a quick trip to get in a Disney Fix before October. In October, we are staying at OFC from Oct 30 to Nov 9. We are doing MNSSHP on Oct 31 and the First MVMCP on Nov 7.

CR is the only deluxe I have not visited. BC will be the only CL I have not visited, but I had a not so magical stay at BC that I doubt I will go back. Right now if I had to rank my top 3 Club Level stays it would be
1. WL - OFC
2. Poly
3. BWI

We will have to see if that changes after this visit.

Yay! We arrive at BLT Saturday- maybe we will see you guys out in the World!

Enjoy BLT! Hope to see you around! :thumbsup2

My list is ever changing :lmao: For years I always said GF/Poly/YC were my favorites, but with Poly out of the running right now I'd have to say GF/CR/YC would be the top 3. ::yes:: Always CL of course. :cloud9:

Exciting!! So it sounds like they don't necessarily have pull to get you in. (And here I was hoping to be like Ray Liotta in Goodfellas when he enters the restaurant through the kitchen and they make a table appear out of thin air). However, it seems like they either check more often, or maybe get info when there is a cancellation and snatch it up for you. Is that accurate?

As others have said, unfortunately, IPO doesn't have any pull when it comes to getting ADRs and has the same chance as you have of getting what you want.

Only 4 more days until I get my quick Disney fix. We are staying Atrium Club for a quick 3 day weekend. Our big trip isn't until October/November and that was just too far away.

I am really excited to try the Atrium Club. We also have the Feel the Force package at DHS for Sunday. Can't wait.

Have a great trip :wizard:.

I think I am physically ill

Was just lurking around the Disney website and noticed there are CL rooms at the GF in the outer bldg. for not much more per day than we are paying for CL at BWI :badpc:

Now mind you, we've only stayed on property once and that was at AKL CL {shout out to some Jungle Juice} Woot Woot :cool1: however, we've heard :listen: lots of nice things about the GF CL

We're enjoying more resort time since we were in Da World earlier this year... do ya think GF CL outer bldg. would be a nicer experience than BWI CL?!?

I dunno :confused3 just couldn't believe the cost was so affordable :faint:

What to do... what to do?!?

We've never stayed at BWI, but have stayed GF SL and while I love the GF, I didn't care for SL. The food offerings are the same as what's served in RPC, but I found the lounge to be small with not enough seating to accommodate the number of people staying there (just my opinion). Also, the lounge is located right inside the lobby of the SL building with no views, which I found to not be very relaxing compared to other CL lounges I've experienced. With that said, BWI is on my list to try and I have read nothing but great things about CL.

It also looks like the Sugar Loaf rooms will be undergoing a rehab around 1 JUNE, so you would get a "new" room there, too but I don't know if they are doing anything to the lounge. I assume all the SL rooms would be done by the time you'd be there? Just something to consider:scratchin

How about a nice, juicy split-stay? I love those!

Hi KOOK :wave2:

I heard the SL lounge was also being redone, although I'm not sure just how extensive it will be. I also agree a split stay is a great idea if that's an option :).

Since we're staying 2 weeks, can stay a week at each resort :dance3:

I've read split stays are super easy, so we could try out 2 new resorts in one trip = :cloud9:

I think a week at each resort is a great idea :thumbsup2. Disney will move your luggage, making switching resorts very easy :goodvibes.

Oh my! I forgot the most awesome part of CL! well..ONE of the most awesome...they deliver your packages to the rooms!

They use to do this years ago before they started only sending to the gift shops. It's like Christmas coming to the room and seeing packages!

We leave $5 in the morning and $2 or $3 for turndown in the evening. Sometimes they do turndown pretty early so if the room is cleaned before we leave I put the money on the bed in case we are not back in time. The concierge staff is not allowed to accept tips, but they are allowed to accept small gifts.

I have never used online check in, I don't see how it would save any time when staying CL. You would still have to sign the form and give them a CC if you want to charge to the room. You can attach a CC to your MDE account but I would never do that, and they would probably want to see it anyway.

I never did online check in but did for this June. We stay YC CL every year garden view. There are 5 rooms in this category. I know every room so being automatically assigned to one of those rooms is fine with me. If I were not booked garden and say a lagoon vs. pool view was at stake, I would NOT do online check in b/c I would want a say in the room assignment. I doubt it is any time saver at all but I did it this trip but again only b/c I know every possible room assignment. If you are wanting a certain view or section, I wouldn't do online!

I have used it with both CL stays. I live 2 hours away, so I am always arriving at 9am.. 95% of the time, my room has been ready when I do Online check in. I have also requested areas and for the most part, it is right on.
The only problem I had was at GF in February. They gave us a dormer room, and while it was lovely.. I needed the daybed for my daughter (my mother slept in the other queen)

I like the check in and if there is a problem with room location.. I haven't had a problem getting moved.

The credit card, I don't worry about. If you want IPO to book anything for you, they will need it and I have never been asked to present the card when I have done online checkin

Thanks everyone for your answers.

Does anyone know if any of the few Garden View CL rooms at the Beach Club have a day bed? Think I will ask on the BC resort thread, too. Thanks!

We had a daybed in our GV room, CL. We were looking out into the garden area with the volleyball net. Great view. Looking to the right could see the lake and Boardwalk. At night we could see the higher Illuminations! We didn't find this out till our last night when we were in the room at that time packing

Until you see them all and realize you'll never get it on the plane! :rotfl:

Hi All! I just upgraded to a Garden View Club Level room at BC for the end of June. This will be our first stay at BC and on CL! To say I'm excited is the understatement of the year. I read through the first 40 pages of this topic before my eyes started to glaze over lol. Anyone want to tell me how much I'm going to love CL and anything special I should know about BC? Also, is there a map that shows which rooms at the BC are GV?

That's where shipping from your resort comes in handy :thumbsup2. We ship every trip and I love the convenience as it's well worth the cost.

How do you go about doing that? Is it crazy expensive?

Okay, friends! I am a CL novice (I know...eeek!) and just switched from WL CL to BC CL for a quick trip in early June. What should I know before I arrive? I'm sure everything is in this thread, but I don't think I'll make it through all the pages before I leave! Ha!

No need to read through the whole thread, just the first page. It is loaded with just about everything you will need to know. :thumbsup2

Also, check out the CL post of the BC FAQ Thread for even more specifics.

We usually get boxes from the gift shop and after packing everything up, we take everything to the front desk where they take care of weighing and labeling the boxes, which gets shipped UPS from there. The most we've paid was just under $25 for 1 large box, 1 medium box, and a poster tube. We do the shipping the night before we check out and our packages arrive at home 2-3 days after we do. It's been a few years since our last trip so I'm not sure what costs are now, but I'm sure it's not that much more expensive. It's just so convenient and you have no worries about extra fees at the airport for being over the luggage weight limit.

I can't help with BC CL as we've never tried it, but wanted to say have a great trip.

We recently returned from an Old Faithful Club stay at the Wilderness Lodge - so much fun! I've been putting up some photos on my blog and thought I'd share a few here too...

I think this is the only club level where I've seen soup served in a pot like this - butternut squash...yum!

I love how there are bears holding the wine bottles!

You can read the full post here, and there's a video tour as well! :)

Thank you for posting some OFC photos and a link to your blog. I enjoyed looking through your blog photos. When were you there? I don't recall ever seeing the Butternut Squash Soup - my favorite! I'll have to get some new photos of the menus. (The ones I have don't list it.) I hope they have it next month:). I think I heard the voice of Randy, the wonderful manager of the OFC. Did you get a chance to meet him? He picked out the cute bear wine holders.
