We had the same thing at the BWI CL in Feb. I asked for more mouthwash since it was the one thing I forgot and housekeeping left me 6 bottles of it!

I'm unsure whether or not we will buy mugs this stay since we are CL. Is it ok to bring old mugs to pour a can of soda from the lounge into and take to the pool? Is it necessary?

I was thinking the same thing.. I have mine from 2 weeks ago and was going to bring it to keep my drinks cold at the pool. I know it won't turn the soda on at the machines.. But it is thermal and will keep it cold longer

In our experience some of the deluxe resorts do not provide body wash for non CL rooms. At WL we never receive it for non CL stays and always do for CL. We just ask housekeeping for it and they bring it. Also, at CR we did not receive body wash, soap only. Again I asked housekeeping and they did bring it. I would think it an oversight but we always have it in CL and never in non CL. YMMV.

At GF they have a wonderful peppermint foot rub that I do not believe they stock in non CL rooms but I could be wrong.

Did they get your reservation fixed with the computer glitch ?

Thank you. I'll have to be sure and ask for some of that peppermint foot rub. We are now staying garden view at GF. My old reservation was already gone.

OMG! This happened to me too!! It was so strange! I'd booked the SL GF and then a couple of days later called to ask a question and the CM said I was NOT booked in CL.. just a regular standard room! Of course, we fixed it right there and then, but damn was I annoyed that I almost didn't get my much anticipated CL experience at GF! I'm so sorry that happened to you.

Thank you. Im still pretty upset about it but it just simply isn't available when we are there. I think they need a little work in the reservations department.

Yes, I think RPC and any deluxe club level rooms (across all WDW CL rooms) receive bigger toiletries. I had to dig a little, but I asked a similar question earlier this year and found my post where I asked this, which is in this thread, post #232, page 16, with answers following…

FWIW, we also received the peppermint foot lotion at the GFVs (on points, studio), which I loved!

Were you guys both booked for GF SL in June? When is the lounge refurb supposed to be done? Or is it done? I thought maybe that's why they moved you to a different category???

I'm still not packed!!!!!!!!!!

As far as I know SL will be starting its refurb next week and all through June.

Thank you for posting some OFC photos and a link to your blog. I enjoyed looking through your blog photos. When were you there? I don't recall ever seeing the Butternut Squash Soup - my favorite! I'll have to get some new photos of the menus. (The ones I have don't list it.) I hope they have it next month. I think I heard the voice of Randy, the wonderful manager of the OFC. Did you get a chance to meet him? He picked out the cute bear wine holders.

We were there in March - they had butternut squash soup one night and buffalo chili the next. And I think it was Randy's voice...he was great!

I loved the blog pictures and video as well! Thank you for sharing! Totally brought back wonderful memories of my stay there this last February! We even had the bunk bed room!

I think I pretty much ate the cheese plate every single night! It was my favorite, but I also enjoyed everything else they had! I wanted to go back with my family on our next trip in November, but with the five of us, we had to stay in that bigger deluxe room, pricing it out of our budget... but we're going to stay at Sugar Loaf @ GF instead and I'm looking forward to that too!

Hope you have a lovely time at Sugar Loaf - I adore club level at the Grand. They have such delicious food!

I wanted to say that I found the Polynesian Club Level to be wonderful. We were there from 5/24 to 5/29. I liked the sushi offerings plus there was potstickers and chicken wings (kona style) one night.

All of the desserts were great and things were re-filled throughout the entire time period.

One thing I didn't know was they want you to hand your water bottle to them so they can fill it in back instead of trying to fill it from the dispenser. They also have no plastic water bottles available.

Even with the construction, it was wonderful! Until the pool closes, I would definitely recommend going.

We were blessed with an upgrade to YC CL yesterday, with a water view!! We had booked WL CL for one night to end our trip, but Disney blessed us with 6 more nights!!!

Do SL Garden view rooms get the larger toiletries? Our first time in SL. Last year we had a regular room at GF. Loved the spa products. And the foot cream at the end of the day was so nice!

We've stayed CL at BC & AKL but never got larger sizes. I think at AKL we got some extra stuff like a toothbrush and mouth wash. And I seem to remember getting the solar gel at one of the resorts. Can't remember which.

Thanks DisneyDmbNut! I have seen a few photos you posted of your SL stay as well on the first page. Those are great! I'm so glad you posted and had a really great time at SL. I'm looking forward to our first sty there later this summer.
I saw on another thread that a recent visitor to SL (not a SL guest) reported back that the food offerings looked like they had been cut back. Your photos do not show that. I hope things are still as they look in your great photos.
