Just found some Kohls cash that expired last week, can I still use it? I know some kohls used to take expired Kohls cash, awhile ago, not sure about now....

They took my mom's expired kohls cash last week. They did ask her if she had her Kohls card so maybe they only take it if you a have their card.

Kohls policy is to take expired cash...if someone tells you they can't then they are probably new and you should ask them to double check.

I do not have a Kohl's charge card and my expired Kohl's cash was accepted twice, and at two different stores. The cashier just scanned it to be sure that it hadn't been used - and why would I have it in my possession if it had been (:confused3), and once she verified that the "cash" was valid, I was able to use it. Yeah Kohl's !!!

I've been able to use it in the stoer but tried to use an expired one on line once and it wouldn't let me.

You could have used it online...

I think they are supposed to accept it, but when I asked at my store the manager said that they would only accept it for a short time after it had expired (so in your case a week would probably be accepted).

I was buying some stuff last week and commented to the clerk that I had forgotten my $10 off coupon at home. She told me to bring it back and guest services would adjust it for me. Then I mentioned that it might have expired and the clerk told me that was OK, if it expired in the past week or so they would still honor it. I took it back with the receipt the next day and they applied it for me. I thought that was really nice of them to do.

They took my expired cash on Thursday, but she had to type it in instead of scanning it.

I used mine that was expired by one day, a couple weeks ago. The clerk looked at me and sighed. Then said, "It's expired. I'll take it, but don't tell anyone. I could lose my job for this." :confused3

Seemed overdramatic, especially since I've heard so many other people say they've used expired cash. And I don't know why a clerk would risk her job for a stranger, if that truly was the policy. Seemed like she just wanted to let me know she was doing me a favor. But I was glad to get the $10! :thumbsup2

On Wed our Kohls took my Kohls cash that had expired in July. I found it in my purse wrapped around my kohls card when I took it out to pay. Love their customer service !

Kohl's official policy is NOT to take expired Kohl's cash (where it used to be the opposite). If you find a cashier who will do it, consider yourself lucky.

I had an issue with returning items that had been purchased giving me Kohl's Cash last week. I returned a shirt, and it brought me under the $50 KC line, but you used to be able to get a merchandise credit and keep the KC -- not any more! The cashier told me that the new policy is that you can "even exchange" and keep the KC -- "even exchange" meaning not necessarily for the same item, but for any item that costs the same, with its original price, as the original price of the returned item. The sale price doesn't matter. SO -- the shirt I returned had an original price of $32 (I bought it for $14.99). If I could find something in the store -- anything -- that I wanted with an original price of $32, no matter what it was currently selling for, I could exchange it for the shirt I wanted to return and keep my KC. (I found a rack of ties -- that's about it -- that were selling for $32 -- most of the stuff in the store is .99). So keep that in mind!

I no longer work at Kohls but I know in past the registers could take expired KC for 2 days after it expired, after that the cashier had to manually put it in. I believe with upgrade of systems we were not going to be able to do that anymore.

I used some that were expired a year already and had no problem at all.
