Expidition Everest This Weekend???

Are You going to the AP/DVC Preview of Expidition Everest this weekend???

Do you think that Animal Kingdom will be covered up on Saturday or do you think that everyone that is not DVC or AP will stear clear of that park?

I work at AK, and rumor has it, they're forcasting nearly as many people as they are for Easter this weekend. Just to warn everybody. I don't know if many people will be steering clear; if they're not a dvc or ap or post online like we do, then they probably don't even know. It's going to be an interesting weekend. The first park I am going to on Wednesday is AK.

Woo Hoo, can't wait. We are driving down for AP sneak peak, 7 hours one way, will be there less than 24 hrs. But EE look worth it!!


I noticed that the posted park hours on the offical disney site have been extended on the 28th and 29th to 6pm (originally to close at 5pm). Thought I would pass that along.

I hope that rumor is not true! We planned this week because it is slow time and are taking the kids and myself out of school. I guess I better have a bit more detailed plan in mind if it is going to be crowded! Does anyone know if the hotels are sold out? And it is just the weekend they are expecting Easter like crowds?

Nobody KNOWS, there's no WAY to know just who will be driving in and who will be staying off-site.

So don't sweat it until you get there.

Like was said... WE read the boards and hang on every little detail.

There are PLENTY of "sane" people who don't know and (Gasp) don't CARE if a theme-park ride is "previewing" on an off-season weekend.
(The kids are in school, the adults are at work... they have LIVES!)

But WE on THIS board have SLIGHTLY DIFFERENT priorities.

hotels are pretty close if not sold out i ttried to get ressies for fri and sat night and tehy were all booked up,, we finallygot in fo rsta night at BWI so excited we get to ride everest and have a night in the parks without the kids!

Last weekend was the first "preview". It was for WDW CM's and their families.

THIS weekend is for DVC and AP'ers.

We are driving 700 miles TO RIDE EXPIDITION EVEREST!!!!

When we decided to make this crazy little trip we decided that it didn't matter how long we might have to wait in line to ride it! It's all about the adventure and we will be perfectly happy if it is the only ride we get to go on!

Now, having said that, I hope for all of those who have had full trips planned, that this doesn't impact all of the other rides and parks! Maybe all of the crazy crowds will stay near Everest!
