When renting from Alamo do you have to go to the counter when using a debit card to show proof of a round trip ticket? My reservation says I can use the kiosk and I would prefer to use my debit instead of my credit card. Can I just show proof of the round trip ticket at the exit booth or will I need to go to the counter.

Proof of round trip ticket? I have never had to show that. Never even had to show proof of insurance.

The only time I've ever used a debit card was in Hawaii and the reservation was in my mom's name. We used the kiosk, but when we swiped the debit card, it did say we had to go to the counter and show proof of our return ticket. It did still print all of our paperwork for us though. The line was huge, so we just went outside and got a car. They had someone walking around helping out anyone who needed it, and I asked him if we had to go back in to show our ticket. He didn't ask to see anything, just initialed our paperwork and sent us on our way to the exit booth.

No idea if you'll catch the same break any where else though.

I also used the kiosk and a debit visa card and had to present my airline ticket to the associate. I did wave an employee over when I got to that screen as I didn't want to get in the really long line. She came over, verified my airline ticket and initialed our paperwork.

We did the same thing in June. An associate came over to the kiosk and verified our flights and we were able to use our debit card with no problems. We were done in no time and the line at the desk was huge!
