Every now and then, you will find that Travelocity shows fares LOWER than you might see if booking directly thru an airline. I use Travelocity to track fares but always then check the airline's own website to see if I can do better (and as others have said, Travelocity does charge a small service charge). In 2004, I booked 2 ROUND TRIP tickets from RDU to Rome, Italy thru Travelocity for under $500 (total..for both!) and they ended up being first class seats! Most likely was a HUGE mistake on Travelocity's part but I am certainly glad I checked them! Before Travelocity started tacking on their service fee, I booked airline tickets thru them all the time and NEVER had any problems.
