Can anyone share their experience with using the DAS and FP+ together?

Or share your plan on how you will use them together?

I am thinking about how we can use them together to make the trip for DS most comfortable...I have some ideas but I would like to hear yours...

:goodvibes THANKS!

I used them together with some success,

I would schedule FP selections spread out through the day and get a DAS time before going on the selected FP ride, that way we hardly waited for any rides through the day as that works out as 6 rides!

So if you have a FP for TM then get a RT for Splash then ride TM with the FP by the time your off and walk over your RT will be ready :)

Also gran your 1 st RT when in GS getting the DAS, we did this each morning at the different parks and that way you get an extra RT in as your RT would be ready or nearly ready by the time you reach the 1 st ride :)

We did similar "ride pairing" with FP+ as the previous poster. We also tried to pair return time rides with a close-by attraction that is known to have a minimal wait. I found the key was to try to think about rides in pairs that were close geographically, to keep from trekking all over the place.

Also, we did try to use FP+ at attractions that are kind of "out of the way" for us to get to. As in, it's a giant PITA to go get a return time, and then go back to something else. For us this included splash mountain, soarin (because of the time it takes to get into the building and use the elevator to get downstairs), and kilimanjaro safaris.

Last, we did a table service lunch in the park every day, and got a return time before going to our ADR.

These are great ideas.
You have to go to guest services each morning to get a DAS for that particular park? That is something I didn't know.

DAS card will be issued for length of stay up to 14 days, depending on the guest's ticket entitlement/length of stay
- the system is set up yo allow for no more then 14 days, so the card can't be made valid for longer than that.
- 'proofs' given as an example included a resort key or something else showing dates for a stay; valid multiday park ticket
- guests, including those with Annual Passes, who don't have proof of length of stay may need to get a new card each day, but current information says they will also get a DAS card valid for up to 14 days.
- once all the Return Time spaces are filled, a new card will be needed, even if the old one is not expired.
Getting a replacement card reprinted will take less time than getting the original card (unconfirmed rumors say QR code on the card will allow a replacement to be printed quickly).

Hi no you do not get a new card each day for different parks, your card is good for up to 14 days right now.

I should have been a little clearer, after getting our card the 1st day and having them put down a wait time for us for a ride of our choice, we then would go to GS each morning and have them do it again, so every time we entered a park we would ask GS to act as the ride for us and pop the current ride time down, that way by the time we walked to the ride we could go straight on!

Not many know of this accommodation but I feel its an important one for everyone to know as its a great help..

Thank you for clearing this up for me. It's excellent information and we'll stop by GS each morning on our trip.

We typically leave each park every day after lunch and return each evening after pool and resting. Before leaving the park we would always get a return time for a desired ride with a traditionally long wait. TSM has a two hour wait? No sweat- when we came back four hours later we could walk right on

That is something they were doing for the start up of the DAS program (it started on October 9, 2013) and when it was busy during the holidays.

The information I have was that it will not necessarily continue, so I would not count on it.
And, depending on the number of people at Guest Relations when you come to the park, you could be in for a long wait there - especially early in the day when people are trying to make dining reservations and resolve ticket issues.

Great tip!

Hope it's ok op,if I pose a couple of questions-

How do you know if you're eligible for fastpass+?
Is there a dummies guide?
We're going for 21 nights,so we'll need a 2nd das?
We have 21 day tickets.
We're having an onsite and offsite vacation-how will this work?

1. Make sure you link your tickets to their app and web site
2. Go on to the app or disneyworld.com then click fast pass plus as long as all your family members are also linked you can make reservations
3. As long as you are within your 60 day window you can make reservations for the length or your ticket so if you have 21 day tickets you can make 21 days if fast pass plus reservations

Fastpass+ (FP+) is replacing the original Fastpass program this week in all parks. All guests will have access to 3 FP+ rides per day -- those staying at an on-site WDW resort will be able to schedule FP+ up to 60 days in advance while (at this time) off-site guests can schedule at the park. This could change between now and your trip, depending on when your trip takes place, as it's all new right now.

"Guide" for DAS is in the WDW Disabilities Access Service Card sticky at the top of this forum. The first few posts have all the pertinent details. http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=3178976

A DAS will be issued for the length of ticket, or 14 days for those with an Annual Pass. Your 21-day pass must be from ... the UK? You will probably get a 14-day expiration on the DAS but I'm not sure anyone has reported about 21-day tickets yet. DAS can be renewed as needed -- either due to time expiry or you have used up all the lines on it, but you only have 1 in-hand at a time.

The only difference off-site will be when you can schedule for FP+, onsite or offsite has no bearing on DAS.

Enjoy your vacation!

Thanks for this too.

However,I'm a total technophobe, and have no idea how to link tickets?!
We've booked tickets with our initial wdw booking.
We have 6 nights onsite,then offsite,then another 3 night stay onsite,offsite again,then 1 final night onsite.
The first and last wdw bookings were direct with wdw UK.
The second wdw booking was through a ta.

Assuming,I get to stage 3-even though onsite and offsite-
we'd be able to book fp+ for our whole vacation period?!:confused3

If to bought them in the site they my be already linked the best way to see is click on fast pass plus then it ask you to pick who you want to make reservations. If the tickets are not linked it will tell you their. It say something like need valid park admission. Yes once the tickets are linked and since you booked the onsite it should be linked to it to. Sorry I know the web site here has you login in before booking a resort reservation so then it linked to your account so sorry for asking but did you login into to your account when booking you package. For fat pass plus once you have at least one night booked and theme park tickets booked then you fine. Let me ask do you have a 21 day ticket or tickets for each stay as that my mean you can only make reservation for the length of the ticket linked to your account.

I don't think they will send magic band to the uk yet so you have to pick them up at your resort but make sure you customize them before hand to get different colors besides gray.

We have 21 day tickets bought, which are linked to our initial wdw booking-even though it's only for 6 nights-our booked tickets are for the total duration of our stay.
We don't actually have any tickets in our possession though.

Magic bands definitely don't get sent to us,I've asked previously.
Didn't know we could have different colours, when we pick them up at check-in.
Something else to figure out.
