experience at Vero

What has been your experience with going to Vero the first week of Dec? Trip planed for 11/27 to 12/8

The last few times we've gone to Vero, we've done it in early December...

Last year, the resort was at 20% capacity right after Thanksgiving... It was great.. Pool was almost empty, and Shutter's, Sonya's, and the Green Cabin Room always had seating available...

Weather was somewhat hit or miss... It rained one full day while we were down there... Another day it was so windy that we couldn't do the pool, and had to wear jackets... Other days it was gorgeous...

Christmas decorations should be up by then...

Several of the species of Oranges are available at Hale's....

Very few no see-um's...

We went in very late November (after Thanksgiving) in 2001. Resort was nearly empty, but I am sure that was primarily due to the decreaased travel after 9/11. CMs were especially nice and seemed so glad to see us there. Some of the villa buildings were not used at all while we were there. Weather was perfect - high 70's - low 80's. We had a wonderful time!

Went again in early December last year (2003). Resort did not seem very crowded, but I do not know how full it was. Weather was rainy and too cold for swimming. We still had a wonderful time!

Both time, the Holiday decorations were up - very nice and uniquely Vero! Loved the turtles on the huge tree in the lobby!
