Expedition Orlando! - actual update! Nov 22nd

Don't you mean inepta??;)

What a great start to an MK day!:goodvibes

I am tempted to say that the majority of my experiences with Septa have been decent, but I know if I do then tomorrow my train will show up 45 minutes late :p

Great update. Your What Not to Wear episode is my favorite. I loved the Disney store shopping.:thumbsup2 Not sure I could let them throw out all my loverly Disney shirts and bags. I would have to hide them.:rolleyes1

I know what you mean :rolleyes1 Thank you!

I am learning a great deal from your expedition!! :goodvibes

Thank you! It was my hope that my findings would prove educational and beneficial to the readers. :teeth:

I agree. Where were those places? *scratches head* In the train station?

Glad to read an update. I love Mickey's Philarmagic!! I could see that over an over again. Love the theater (did you see the hidden mickey?), the queue line...everything!

One of the days, I will try to the Speedway!

Yup, in the train station. I had never ever bothered to walk around in there before! I have always taken the train from Fronteirland or Toontown in the past.

I never noticed the hidden mickey in Philharmagic, where is it??

And I don't think you're missing anything where the Speedway is concerned...I've been on it twice ever, that's enough to last me a lifetime!

:rotfl::rotfl: If SEPTA ever ran as smoothly as the TTA (or was as clean), it would be a wonderful day in Philly!
Loved this instalment, and can't wait to read about Adventureland...

Thanks! I would LOVE to ride the TTA to work every day, I wouldn't even mind getting up at 7 AM for work if I had that to look forward to!

another great update! and dang if I didn't miss your show again! :headache:

Thanks! I imagine the show will be on again at some point....I'll keep my eye out :magnify:

Thank you for the warning about the pantsless duck at the concert. If he attempts to disrupt the show next time I am there, I will be sure to cover the eyes of any small children seated near me.

You are welcome. Frankly I was shocked that such a vulgar display of duck was allowed to parade around in such a manner.

In the quaint Liberty Sqaure I was lucky enough to catch a public taunting of two hardened criminals. I was comforted to know that the local law enforcement was savvy enough to catch such vagrants as these.

I love it!! :thumbsup2 This is such a great change in the normal TR. Super!! :goodvibes

I just found your TR and I'm loving it! You are hilarious!

Are the tacos at MK good? They look tasty....we've never eaten there.

And, I have to say-I'm a big fan to What Not to Wear and YOUR epsoide is one of my all time favorites! It stands out in my memory and I was shocked to find you on here! Yay! :yay:

So funny! Great update!

Good question brookelizabeth...are the tacos good? They look pretty good. It's funny that I've never really paid attention to that food booth.

It's always great when you log on and bam! Two new updates you didn't even know about! It's been awhile since I read the book, but the tone of this TR so reminds me of Stephenie Meyer's The Host. :goodvibes

All caught up. And enjoying every minute! Don't you just love drinks at Victoria Falls and dinner at Jiko? :cloud9: And the glow cubes just make it all worthwhile. ;) I'm such a kid- I'll do almost anything for a glow cube and/or souvenir cup. :rotfl:

So you actually dined at the elusive el pirata y pericho? Wow! It's never been open while I've been there.

Looking forward to more! :)

The hidden mickey at PhilarMagic is in the outline fo the stage in an instrucment (trombone?) on the right hand side, toward the top.

I took a pic and completely missed it! I even put a pic in my TR and didn't even realize it until later. I'll get the pic in a moment and post it.

edit:
Here you go:

Taking the tram to the car to the monorail to the Polynesian isle was a long and tedious journey. But I was on a mission. AL COHLNADO – the drink of lost gold!

I eventually arrived in Polynesia to find that clever Mother had already procured this fine drink for me. They call it….THE LAPU LAPU.

Full of pineapple tonic, we were off to explore the simpler time of ye olde America. We enjoyed a local Dixieland band as we strolled through the grounds.

With each step we took toward our dinner destination, Mother fell more in love with the resort. As we walked through the gardens, she attempted to simultaneously plan both my wedding and her 40th wedding anniversary a la Grand Floridian. I’m not engaged yet, but that small detail was irrelevant to Mother.

Into Narcossee’s we went, where charming young host Breandon allowed us to wait for a window seat. The restaurant was absolutely elegant, and we meandered along the water while waiting for our table. Across the lake I spied what appeared to be a futuristic high-tech space portal.

I was intrigued and wanted to explore the bright building, but was soon distracted by the promise of more alcoholic libations. Mother and I headed over to the bar for a raspberry mojito and a kahlua martini.

Even better than our delicious drinks was Sergio, the Guatemalan-Sicilian bartender. Sergio can only be described as a gleeful delight, and we enjoyed conversing with him until Breandon arrived to summon us to our table.

Amer was our server. He brought us salmon with orzo, a cheese plate, caeser salad, and crab-encrusted flounder.

At nine o’clock on the dot, we were startled by thunderous flashes of light just outside our window! We bolted from our chairs (much to the alarm of Amer, who chased after us shouting and waving the unpaid check). Luckily when we got outside, we realized that the explosions were taking place safely across the lake, and we were able to watch them safely from the shore.

We staggered from the Grand Floridian, pausing only to photograph Mother in front of what she considered the perfect bridal bouquet for my supposed upcoming wedding

Off to bed, for the next morning I would be traveling alone to THE DARK SIDE!...

HI EVERYBODY....if anyone is still out there....what a busy time for me to be attempting to write a trip report! I've been locked away working 12+ hour days on a shoot for the past three weeks, plus working on acquiring the house (we're almost there!!). Thanks to anyone who is still reading along, and to those of you whose TRs I've fallen horribly behind on, I plan to do lots of reading this weekend since my shoot ends Friday :cool1:

COOL! I never ever noticed that before. I love all the hidden little details at Disney.

:rotfl:

Thanks! Yes, this is the first time I have ever noticed El Pirata Y Pericho being open too. If you are in the mood for tacos it totally hits the spot. Mmmm, toppings bar....the only thing my taco was missing was a glow cube

It's always great when you log on and bam! Two new updates you didn't even know about! It's been awhile since I read the book, but the tone of this TR so reminds me of Stephenie Meyer's The Host. :goodvibes

Thanks! I should check it out, I haven't read any of her books. I am always looking for new books to read on the train.

I love this update. It has been hilarious. :goodvibes
Thank you! :teeth:

So funny! Great update!

Good question brookelizabeth...are the tacos good? They look pretty good. It's funny that I've never really paid attention to that food booth.

You probably never paid attention because it's usually closed  The tacos were good. I was a little disappointed when they first came out because the shells weren't chock-full of meat, but there was a ton of really good toppings, and it ended up being really tasty.

Wow thanks Kat, that means a lot because I love your TRs!

I just love the style of this report, it makes me crack up every update! :rotfl:

Still here!

I have GOT to try that Lapu Lapu! It looks amazing!

I'm still here! I really need to try one of those Lapu Lapus that everyone raves about. Maybe on my honeymoon! :thumbsup2

Btw, you better start working on toning up your arms if your mother wants you to carry that bouquet down the aisle! :lmao:

I'm still here too!

Love the pictures of Wishes -and dinner sounded goooooooood. :goodvibes

Hope life is good despite all the craziness!

Still here! Great update.:thumbsup2 I'm thinking I need a Lapu Lapus. I've had a heck of a week, and a wonderful Pineapple drink would make it all better! Loved that you got to see Wishes from Narcoossee’s. The restaurant sounds really good. Hope everything is going well, and can't wait to read what happens next!
