Oh and gotta add a shameless plug - for those of you that missed it, my episode of What Not To Wear will be on again this Friday the 29th at 4pm on TLC. :p

Oh, Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! :dance3:

I was so sorry to have missed it previously!! :headache:

My DD(13) absolutely loves that show! I keep telling her to keep a look out for a DIS-friend of mine....

Great update and photos!!! The huge seagull does sound slightly scary though, but the neon drinkies sound much nicer! :goodvibes:goodvibes

OK firstly - It has been nearly three weeks since I updated this thing! If anyone is still reading, I apologize! Things have been crazy with work, as well as with house hunting (we're almost there!!! though I don't want to get too excited until everything's final ;) I'm getting back into the swing of things and have finally finished the first day. Hopefully I'll be able to get the rest done in a more timely manner!

Oh and gotta add a shameless plug - for those of you that missed it, my episode of What Not To Wear will be on again this Friday the 29th at 4pm on TLC. :p Now back to your regularly scheduled comments!

Keepin my fingers crossed for ya on the house hunt!

'K, I'm gonna have to set the DVR, because I *never* catch the 1st 15 mintues or so of your episode! That is the only show I would ever go on (especially now that Bob Barker is off Price is Right).

Hooray! I finally caught your episode of What Not to Wear!! :yay:

I loved the short hair-do... I see you're letting it grow again, though! Please consider cutting it again, it was super-pretty!

You are too cute... I was yelling at Stacy and Clinton when they threw out your Disney bags! And then I was rolling :rotfl: when you took the "side trip" to the World of Disney Store!!!

I loved the show and hope you had fun doing it! :goodvibes

Kathy

p.s. Ed was watching too, and he thought Clinton was "very mean" to you. Tricia and I tried to explain that he's that way with everyone, but Ed still feels that "he needs his butt kicked!!!" :lmao:

Kathy

Great update!! I really enjoyed it. Finding Nemo is one of our favorite shows. Last time we were there though, I fell asleep. My kids had to keep hitting me. :lmao: Sounds like you had a great day. Can't wait to read the rest of your trip.

Good luck house hunting!!:thumbsup2

Hi Kelly! Just got back a few hours ago and I am making the round catching up with everybody.

What an exotic creature you encountered on your safari, the white bodied, brown haired creature is a rarely seen delight in those parts I hear. ;)

I arose this morning to dine on eggs and fruit with Mother before I climbed into the automobile for my first day of solo adventuring. Eight glorious hours to myself to explore the Magic Kingdom! Woooooo, indeed.

This Magic Kingdom was buried deep in the most obscure and mystical of swamplands. One was not permitted to simply drive to its gates. Instead, I had to park miles away, then take a small tramcar to a busy monorail station, then climbed aboard a very crowded monorail. There I sat next to an adorable small girl, and we both eagerly watched the window as the majestic castle appeared on the horizon. She was excited to point out to me that it was ‘Princess Aurora’s Castle’. As young as she was I was wary of her information – I did later confirm that the castle actually belongs to Cinderella.

As finally we pulled up to Main Street’s gates, I disembarked and began a slow meander.

The train station was my first stop, to learn more about the local population via films & schedules.

What I learned was that the local children have little respect for their professors, and the transit system has an unfortunate problem with bears.

I continued my wandering, admiring the local buildings and décor.

I peeked into a cinema theatre, the seemingly abandoned Noodle Terrace, and then I was lucky enough to receive an invite – to a comedy show! Having never been to the theatre’s location of Monstropolis, I happily accepted. Soon I was treated to delightful entertainment from some of the city’s finest comedians, although I must admit feeling let down when a gentleman we were promised would treat us to churros did not uphold his end of the bargain.

I left Monstropolis and headed into a fantasy realm, where I was invited to yet another performance! I am pleased to see that the residents of this land have such a rich artistic culture. Mickey’s Philharmagic was playing at a local music hall. As I walked through the queue, I was a little disappointed to see posters of past performances that I had missed, such as the esteemed Willie the Whale in "I Paglucci". But I was sure this musical revue would be satisfactory.

Unfortunately, a pantless duck ruined the performance by swiping the conductor’s hat. I was irritated, but must admit that I enjoyed watching his foibles. I did draw the line at purchasing a ceremonial headdress to honor the troublesome fowl.

The excitement continued as next I was…drafted!

I was more than happy to report to Star Command for my next adventure. With great determination, I battled the evil emperor Zurg alongside Buzz Lightyear’s noble army. I fought hard and had the prestigious title of Space Ace bestowed upon me. An impressed bystander captured this shot of me in action, but as you can see I was moving so fast that it was impossible to get a clear photo.

I decided to investigate Tomorrowland’s public transit system, curious about how it would compare to SEPTA (Southeastern Pennsylvania Transport Authority - my usual mode of commuting). I climbed above the Tomorrowland Transportation Authority, scoring a prime front car. Below me, fools circled a track on primitive cars!

Coming up – what better place for an adventurer than Adventureland??

Hi Kelly! Just got back a few hours ago and I am making the round catching up with everybody.

Heyyy!!! Welcome back! I need to catch up on your TR now too. I hope you had an amazing trip.

Great update!! I really enjoyed it. Finding Nemo is one of our favorite shows. Last time we were there though, I fell asleep. My kids had to keep hitting me. :lmao: Sounds like you had a great day. Can't wait to read the rest of your trip.

I don't blame you for falling asleep, it is so dark and cool in there :rotfl:

Hooray! I finally caught your episode of What Not to Wear!! :yay:

Kathy

Thanks!! I have to say my hair is really long now. The short hair looked really good during the shoot but grew out way too quickly (I never could get it to look quite the same again, despite what Nick said on the show he doused my hair in all sorts of gels and hairsprays). Please tell Ed that Clinton was one of the nicest people I have ever met :)

'K, I'm gonna have to set the DVR, because I *never* catch the 1st 15 mintues or so of your episode! That is the only show I would ever go on (especially now that Bob Barker is off Price is Right).

Oh I LOVE Price is Right. I have to admit though I haven't watched it since Bob Barker left. If I could go on a game show I would want to be on Family Feud!! "Survey says..."
By the way I love your new Alice icon!

Great update and photos!!! The huge seagull does sound slightly scary though, but the neon drinkies sound much nicer! :goodvibes:goodvibes

Yes I have to agree on that :rotfl:

Yay so glad your back!

It really was so exciting that our weeks and weeks of hiking just flew by! :teeth:

Yeah! An update! You two look like you had so much fun!

Thanks for the tip on your What Not To Wear show!

It was so fun! Once my mom forgave me for almost killing her on Everest that is

Nice to see you back!!

Thanks!!

Don't you mean inepta??;)

What a great start to an MK day!:goodvibes

Great update. Your What Not to Wear episode is my favorite. I loved the Disney store shopping.:thumbsup2 Not sure I could let them throw out all my loverly Disney shirts and bags. I would have to hide them.:rolleyes1

I am learning a great deal from your expedition!! :goodvibes

Kathy

I agree. Where were those places? *scratches head* In the train station?

Glad to read an update. I love Mickey's Philarmagic!! I could see that over an over again. Love the theater (did you see the hidden mickey?), the queue line...everything!

One of the days, I will try to the Speedway!

:rotfl::rotfl: If SEPTA ever ran as smoothly as the TTA (or was as clean), it would be a wonderful day in Philly!
Loved this instalment, and can't wait to read about Adventureland...

another great update! and dang if I didn't miss your show again! :headache:

Thank you for the warning about the pantsless duck at the concert. If he attempts to disrupt the show next time I am there, I will be sure to cover the eyes of any small children seated near me.

Also, thought you might like to know that you may or may not have received a shoutout in the latest installment of my trippie.... :rolleyes1

With hunger, I charged into Adventureland for tacos. Crispy!

I was eager to conquer the forboding Splash Mountain, and headed there next. What should have been a cheerful trek among my critter brethren turned dangerous when we were re-routed to “The Laughing Place”. With moldy river residue soaking my fine new Alice shirt, I soldiered on.

I meandered around the area while attempting to dry off, where I met such interesting characters as this bird, who Mother surely would have been excited to see

In the quaint Liberty Sqaure I was lucky enough to catch a public taunting of two hardened criminals. I was comforted to know that the local law enforcement was savvy enough to catch such vagrants as these.

fig e:
DSC_0023-2.jpg

I also met these joyful-looking fellows dancing in a garden, but appearances were deceiving. Despite my grandest attempts to be friendly, they refused to respond with so much as a “how do you do?”

fig f:
DSC_0021-2.jpg

I soon forgot their rudeness as I was invited to an even more swingin’ party, at a mansion nonetheless!

fig g:
DSC_0037-2.jpg

It was simply the most elegant affair. I had a wonderful time ballroom dancing, touring the library and séance-room, and being treated to an outdoor concert from a barbershop quartet. I politely had to decline the host’s offer to take up permanent residence in the lovely mansion, as I had much more exploring to do.

And so I was drawn back to Adventureland, admiring the local architecture and nature.

I stumbled onto what looked like an ancient pirate jail. My expedition took me inside, where I found exciting old canons, barrels, maps, and other such piratey things.

fig k:
DSC_0031-2.jpg

Afterwards, it was time to conquer even more pirates, setting sail from the Darling’s bedroom.

fig l:
DSC_0044-2.jpg

I, of course, successfully led the local lost boys to a triumphant victory over the troublesome pirate gang. After feeding Captain Hook to a crocodile, I decided I had earned some relaxation. I began to head for the glorious Polynesian islands for some drinks and rest.

However, my plans were thwarted when I was accosted by the Move It Shake It Celebrate It parade! Characters surrounded me, demanding that I participate in their celebration. I am not sure what exactly we were celebrating, but in a panic and fear for my life, I dutifully “shook it.”

Luckily, my terror soon subsided as I caught sight of a familiar face amid the chaos!

My dear boyfriend Chip was involved in the very debacle I had stumbled into! He caught site of me, clearly aware of the horror on my face, and tried to reach out for a comforting hug.

His motorcoach was whisked away too quickly, but not before he was able to wave his arms wildly at me in what I assumed was supposed to be a signal. I raced in the direction that he was pointing and soon escaped to safety! Thank you, my beloved!!

Coming up: I unwind from my harrowing escapades with a glorious evening of tropical delight!

Oh Kelly, you are hilarious! Thanks for the good long laugh. This is definitely one of the most unique, and one of the funniest TR's I have read.
