I can't wait to ride it. We are already planning a March trip just to ride this ride so I definitely hope they have a soft opening then!!!

i can't wait to ride it. wish it was open for our trip this year, but that just gives me something to look forward to on our next trip. i was hoping to talk DFi into a short trip down for the opening, but looks like i will be traveling for work all spring, so maybe an early summer weekend would be better. thanks for the pics they are great, can't wait to check it out next week.

How about a soft opening in late January to make up for closing Test Track, Buzz and now Splash Mtn for the period I will be there. i think we may actually catch one day for Splash if they stick to their schedule.

Wish they were having a soft openning next week! Did a soft openning for RnR a few years ago. Was a blast. Nobody there and you just had to be in the right place at the right time. Actually got to ride it 3 times while I was there.

Do any of you think that this ride will be better then rock n roller coaster?

I personally think so. I think that this will be atleast 10 times better. As much as i love aerosmith and rock n roller coaster. I just think that Everest will be the best coaster that WDW have done.

Depends on what you mean by better.
From what I've heard, it's supposed to be a "family" coaster, so it will probably be quite a bit more tame than RnR.
Hopefully, it will be running in time for our March/April trip.

Beware of the "soft openings", I was one of the few who was on Mission Space prior to it being "toned down" before the actual opening. It was much worst than it is now!
