Definitely is a must!

Perhaps not the best of the rollercoasters that I have riden on, but its great fun!

Going through the mountain both backwards and forwards is hilarious and yes, it is fast at times and there is a loop, but for those in two-minds about going on rollercoasters - I wouldn't let this one worry you as much as those at the non-Disney Parks in Florida.

I went on it three times, twice within the space of five minutes and it didn't effect me whatsoever.

I hate to say this, but there is no loop in this ride. The backwards portion has a lot of turns and you go up and down, which may make you think there there is a loop. Trust me, going backwards into a loop is quite an experience.

We liked it too. On our maiden voyage DW didn't know it went backwards! :teeth: When you say "loop", you don't mean "inversion" do you?
EE does not go upside down.:earsboy:

This ride is the only reason I even go to DAK anymore! :teeth:

Anybody have problems with motion sickness on this one? Rollercoasters have never bothered me, but I read on another thread that people got ill from the backward part. Any comments on that?

I'd like to point out that the loops are there after 5-6 beers.

I love this ride and have done mission space with no issue. (full version) Felt a little unsteady after this one just wanted to walk it off for a few minutes. Not sick, just needed to walk around for a bit. Then rode it a second time and had less issues.

There are loops on Small World after 5 or 6 beers!

Love, love love Everest! There are bigger coasters, there are faster coasters, but Everest has it all. It's such a fantastic ride we have planned our day around arriving at AK first thing in the morning just to do Everest, then hopping to that day's park.

The backwards bit gets me in the head and the legs every time, but it's a 'fun' wobbly feeling, not a sick feeling. Not sure I'd want to do it after 5 or 6 beers, though......!

Are you discussing every ride in Disney in seperate threads? :rotfl2:

It's called getting back from a great vacation and having time spare because I have/had nothing else better to do. A few believe it's because I enjoy to spam to boast my post count. :confused3

Just back last night and I have to say Everest was one of my favorite rides. We rode it again, and again, and again. Even the 8 and 9 year olds LOVED it!

I was able to ride EE during the soft opening. I waited for a good hour and half in the regular line (I didn't get a FP because I wanted to take in all of the detail of the queue) and it was worth every minute. I was worried that it wouldn't live up the hype I had built up in my mind but it sure did. I think it's the best thing the Imagineers have done since The Indiana Jones Adventure in DL.

I think it might be more interesting to ride the coaster five or six times, and THEN drink five or six beers.

Enjoy
