For anyone who says they didn't get an e-mail, check your bulk folder ! I would never have seen mine if I didn't go searching for it after reading this thread !

I heard this morning on the Inside the Magic podcast that a soft opening is expected right away and that though the ride may not be open all the time it will be open frequently after the preview weekend right up to opening. You'll probably get to ride it if that's so.

I wonder if that means it MAY only be open during morning of night EMH's for AK.

I don't think this is the case, heimlichfan's dates are Feb. 2-5 and there are no EMH on any of those days... hmmm

I can't imagine Disney sending out an e-mail like that unless they plan to have the ride open most of the day, I would think we'll be able to ride unless something breaks down !

I got an email too. We're staying at POP from Feb 3-6. I'm still unsure of the details?? I'll likely just print off this email and ask about it when I check in.

I just called 407-824-4321 x0 and spoke with a couple different people. The first person insisted it was only for DVC members, AP's, and AKL guests and when I asked if she could ask her supervisor, she put me on hold and transferred me to Downtown Disney Guest Relations? I disconnected and called back.

The second person said she hadn't heard of this yet but checked around for me. She eventually came back to say again she hadn't heard of this email, but to print it out and bring it to Guest Relations (in the oasis on your left as you go through the turnstiles) at AK.

I'm, leaving tommorow and would love to ride . We're staying at POR from 1/28 - 2/3. We booked through AAA so I don't know if I'll get an email. If someone could forward it to me, I'd be thrilled

The last email I got from them was about two weeks ago. Mine didn't have this information on it either.

I guess we March travelers still have a ways to go. Hopefully we'll get one in the next few weeks too!

I'm in the minority here, but I won't be happy if Everest is open to everyone this weekend. Alot of us AP holders and DVC members made special arrangements to be there, and were hoping for shorter lines because of this "perk". Now, it seems as though everyone is invited?

Doesn't seem quite fair.

I could be wrong, but the email seemed to be pointing to a sneak peak for those visiting within the first to weeks of February. So, don't get too offended boomhauer...I think the weekend is safe.

I didn't get an e-mail either. We'll be staying at POP Feb. 5-11. I am hoping that we don't need an e-mail to ride. We leave for Florida on Jan. 31 because we are going to see family first. I won't be able to check the boards after Monday.

Ooooh! I just checked my email and I got one! My DH, DD3 and DSD25 will be there from February 10 to the 18th and staying on-site. DH, DD and I also have APs. Doing the excited dance!

We'll be there 9th-14th and I got the email yesterday. I made reservations directly through Disney (someone above asked).

My take is that they want to let onsite guests in on the little secret (that there'll be soft openings) not that offsite guests won't be able to ride, or that you'll need the email. I think Disney would make it clear if that were the case.

Did you recieve an e-mail?
Which resort are you staying at?
Which dates are you going to be at WDW?
Are you an AP or DVC member?
Did you book directly with disney or through a travel agency?
Any other info that you think would be helpful to narrow this myster of EE.

I really want to ride. I'm going Feb. 23-28 and haven't recieved any type of e-mail about this and I am willing to do just about anything to ride this amazing ride!!

What are your dates? I'm trying to figure out if only those who are going the first 2 weeks of February are getting this email? I'm not arriving until 2/17 which is the beginning of President's Day weekend. I have a weird feeling they may not be doing soft opening that week due to the high crowds. I hope my feeling is wrong!

Yes, I received an email
We will be spliting our stay 5 nights at the Poly and 3 nights at AKL.
We are going to be there February 10th through the 18th.
My DD, DH and I have APs.
I booked directly with Disney, via the web.
