So funny-- We are leaving the 5th too... Are you on Southwest? depart IND around 1030a? Sadly we are coming home on the 10th.

I am flying Northwest, assuming they will still be flying, out of Indy at 8:00am
arriving MCO at 10:15am. It will be a long morning seeing as I am driving down from Angola.

I spoke with "Wolfgang" today at CRO and asked him about this. He told me that you do not have to be a resort guest to ride it at all. You just have to visit the AK in early February. However, he said they are not providing dates for the sneak previews. Basically, in early February, if you visit AK, you may or may not be there on a day they offering "previews". He thinks they are just sending that email to people that have resort ressies to spread the word.

I don't know if this is correct or not but it IS what I was told. Thankfully I rode it yesterday during the first day of the passholder's preview, but I sure would like to ride it again during our upcoming stay. :goodvibes

QueenofCelts-

Thanks for that information- I hope they have it open every day and that everyone gets to ride that wants to. I don't want to stress out about it, my DH will kill me if I make him walk all over the parks- he hates when I do that...so if anyone finds out anymore - let us Feb. people know....

2/4-2/11

Sounds like we're on the same flight - NW 822? Also long morning but not quite as far. We will be driving down from Peru. Are you taking ME?

Well, there goes all of my touring plans...especially for AK. I wonder what my group is going to think when I tell them we are spending all 6 days at AK? ;)

I have a feeling AK is gonna be crowded. Let's just pick a day amongst ourselves......I think there are enough of us....we can take 'em! ;)

Sounds like a plan. :thumbsup2 I'll take ....... ;)

I feel that annual passholders and DVC members will continue to be allowed to ride during the soft opening, they are now additionally adding those with WDW onsite reservations in February.

Yeah, we are on the same flight. We've had good luck with the weather so far, I hope it stays that way. I am taking DME to CBR, have the tags and am all set. 8 days and counting!

The Travel Planner is just some address WDW uses to send you hints and updates. I did my ressies myself too. From what I am told, the sneak previews the emails keep talking about have nothing to do with being a resort guest...it's just a matter of luck and timing. :goodvibes

Ok I say lets try to narrow this down. For all of you who recieved that e-mail reply with the following information.

Did you recieve an e-mail?
Which resort are you staying at?
Which dates are you going to be at WDW?
Are you an AP or DVC member?
Did you book directly with disney or through a travel agency?
Any other info that you think would be helpful to narrow this myster of EE.

I received my email on the 26th.
I'm staying at CSR, but have changed my resort from POP to POR and finally settled here.
We're staying Feb 3-6
Not an AP or DVC member
I booked directly with Disney.

It was from "Your Disney Travel Planner"

Thrilling Disney news for you, Keri!

Since you'll be staying at a Disney Resort hotel during your upcoming Walt Disney World® vacation, we wanted you to be among the first to know about some exciting news: You've got the chance to get a special sneak 'peak' of Expedition Everest, the mountainous new attraction at Disney's Animal Kingdom® Theme Park!

So be sure to pack your thrill-seeking sense of adventure. And your nerve. Because this Everest isn't just a mountain...it's a high-speed, high altitude train ride that sends its passengers racing forward, backward and right into the path of the mountain's guardian—a fierce Yeti (a.k.a. the Abominable Snowman). You can bet that more than the wind will be howling.

Before you set off on your journey, gear up by visiting disneyeverest.com for all things snow-capped and colossal, like:

Yeti Vision See the attraction through the eyes of a Yeti

Behind the Scenes Check out how the ride was brought to life
"Mission Himalayas" This look at a real expedition to the Himalayas illustrates what lengths (and heights) we went to in making the attraction chillingly authentic
It's just one of the new additions to Walt Disney World Resort during the Happiest Celebration On Earth!
