We are going Feb 6-11th
We are staying at CBR (although booked originally as POP)
We booked directly through Disney
Not an AP or DVC member (though I wish I were!)

We were just at WDW last week for the AP sneak peek. A word of advice: line up as early as possible at the Dinoland entrance. The entrance directly to Asia was MOBBED, but you could walk right thru from Dinoland. Enjoy!

DH and I were there last weekend for the AP preview and it was AWESOME!

Then I got back to work on Monday and my boss says that he wants me to go to a conference in two weeks and it just so happens to be in Orlando!!!!



So, I booked a room at Port Orleans French Quarter and just kind of hoped that I might get to ride Everest again while I'm there!

Then today, I got the same magical email that everyone else got! First let me say, I love my annual pass and now I love my boss!!

This is what I've gathered so far from all of the posts so far.

The e-mails aren't a "golen ticket" just an announcement to get the bug out that there will be soft openings in early Feb.

The one trend I did notice that most of the people that responded on this thread that got the email are staying at or originally had reservations at POP, AKL, and POR. Maybe they are just using these three resorts to send the emails but you don't necesarrily have to be staying at these resorts in order to participate in the soft opening.

I think we are just going to have to get lucky when at AK!!!! I need pixie dust!!!!

Man, I didn't get one and I'm going to be there Feb 12-17. Does that mean I can't ride? I'm staying onsite, but at OKW through my DVC points. I'm hoping that they will be doing soft openings. Here's hoping....

I'm there the 10th thru 2oth, and also staying at OKW and i did not get the email either.

Hope I get it! I need the Ride! I may call?

That's been my conclusion too. I'm excited to ride but if I don't, I'm going in December and it'll probably still be there then

Even if they have soft openings the day I'm there, I likely won't wait more than 30-45 minutes for it. We're only going to be there late Friday night to late Monday morning - I'm not made out of spare time!
