princessV - that's great that your knee felt good afterwardsJust talking out loud but typically heat is for muscles (to help them relax) and cold is to take down inflamation so maybe it just means that the problem lies more in the muscles than it being an inflamation problem??
The whole cold/hot things always has me baffled too b/c I never know what the problem is - muscle or inflamation - so i usually do the alternating thing to have both bases covered. haha
Thanks! And my thoughts exactly - there never was any visible swelling, making my self-diagnosis all the more perplexing, lol! But ice wasn't doing much beyond numbing the whole area, whereas the hot bath really seemed to "smooth" things out, for lack of a better description. And goodness knows I have knee issues to start - I can't kneel at all because my kneecaps will actually pop out of place! To get them back in requires a moment of "I think I may actually die" pain while straightening my leg. After that, it's back to normal. But I just make an effort to avoid the experience altogether.
