Expedia.com Trip reviews???Scares Me!

The trip reviews for the Poly on expedia.com trip advisor were awful. Please let me know your experiences at the Poly concierge if you can!!! Was it worth the extra $$$ - Were the CM friendly and happy and helpful?

We will await all of your vast wisdom before we make a reservation!!!

I haven't stayed in the Poly, but I did want to make the comment that you shouldn't be scared off by negative comments. Keep in mind that when a person has, what they perceive, to be a bad experience they will tell on average 10-15 people (and that's before the internet). But, when a person has a good experience they are less likely to spread the word, mainly because their expectations are being bet (or maybe even exceeded).

I try to keep this in mind on those days when it seems like the negative comments on the boards outweigh the good.

We stayed at the Polynesian Concierge a couple years ago. We were less than impressed with the concierge desk staff. They were unfriendly and clueless. The only CM's that we did encounter that illustrated the "Disney way" aren't at the resort any longer. I believe one left Disney, the other two went to the Animal Kingdom Lodge Concierge. At the time of my stay, it seemed as most guest reports on the boards had the same opinions of the staff. From what I've heard, they may be getting a little better, but the relocation of the concierge has resulted with overcrowding and an increase of rude guests.

My suggestion is to go with an open mind, and enjoy yourself. They Polynesian is beautiful, it has an excellent location and views. The resort is a tropical paradise that's hard not to enjoy.

If I had listened to all the bad reviews I had seen for CBR the last few years and not ever booked it, I would have missed out on a truly wonderful and beautiful resort. When people get angry because something didn't go right for them, they tend to totally trash the whole resort. That can be very misleading. Once again, as I always say, what you may think is terrible, another might think is wonderful. Remember, we are all just giving opinions.

While I have not stayed at the Poly Concierge, I did spend 7 nights at the Poly this past February with a great AP rate. I had read all the negative reports about the Poly. I experienced non of them. It was a magical vacation and everything I has dreamed it would be. I know with the concierge move some of the reports have not been good, but their have also been some very good reports.

A few years back we spent 8 days at CBR. Also read all the negative reports on this resort. Also experienced non of them.
