I read above someone said they asked for a gratuity. What do you think would be an acceptable gratuity for this? 20% of $89? I'm doing this in 3 weeks and don't want to short the person attending. Thanks!

On our last cruise I reserved this for my husband and me but he just did not want to do it. He just couldn't deal with the products and is not crazy about heat so my daughter and I went and we loved it. We both loved using the products and loved the steam room (we both like heat) so we are doing it again on our cruise in a few weeks. A very different experience than doing it with your partner but we are both looking forward to it. For my daughter it was a highlight of the cruise for her. I can't remember exactly what we tipped but I am sure it was somewhere between 15% and 20%.

Hi, I have booked this for myself and dh, I hope we like it! Can I ask how the tipping works with spa staff. Do you do it at the time of the treatment or at the end of the cruise?

When we done it, they left the slip on a table outside, you sign for the treatment and add the tip,when you are finished. you dont even see them,you just leave it on the table.

There was no slip outside the door on our cruise. My husband handed the spa attendant $20 after she escorted us to the Rainforest Room. I think I recall signing for the services at the main desk on our way out, but since we already tipped her, I didn't pay attention to whether or not there was a separate section to include this.

We actually had received 50% off the treatment because the steam in the steam room section was not working. We did not notice though, because the showers were plenty hot.

We're on the same cruise with you, Rachael. We chose to do this two times. Sounds fabulous. We love food but decided we'd rather do this than eat at Palo. (I do realize Palo would be cheaper.)

We did this on Celebrity and loved it. However, it drained DH - he went back to the cabin and slept for a few hours afterwards!

Dh and I did this on our DFTW VR cruise in 2008. We will definitely be doing it on our cruise on the Dream next September!!! He will always call it the 'Erotic Rasul" though!!!
