Existing ADR switch to CP package?

Can an existing ADR be switched to the Candlelight Processional Package once they become available?

I will be traveling this summer and I am worried about not being able to book the CP when they are offered. I am assuming (uh, oh...correct me if I'm wrong please) that each restaurant has a certain number of CP packages available for each of the 3 shows. If I have an existing ADR at a restaurant and then want to switch it to the package will I be able to do that as long as that particular restaurant still has some packages available for the showing I want...even if they are technically booked up on tables (one of them being my ressie, of course)?

I am a little confused as to what the best strategy would be for me because I may not know what day to call if I am without computer access for an extended time.

No, it cannot be switched. Once they release the CP packages, you'd have to call and book it then. They do not have the ability to convert an existing ADR to a package ADR.

They will set aside a certain amount of tables just for the package folks.

PS - It's been a few years...what is an ADR?
Is that the new term for what used to be called a PS???

Last year it was August 16.
